I unsubscribed from that thread after making one post. After reading much of it, I found my blood boiling and I don't think it's hot flashes. I come here to MR to be in a "happy place", enjoy light-hearted & humorous banter, get my spirit lifted and not crushed for my supposed ignorance.

I'm off to check out the jokes thread! I hope there's some good ones!

I just realized (I'm slow) this thread is kind of like a 'wall' in facebook (or I'd know that if I used fb) with a group consciousness feel.

I thought that because I thought to myself "If I write what I just came back from just now, then maybe someone who knows me will realize it's me." Then I thought "who knows me?"

And there you have it. A second in the brain of GraceKrispy

well, I tend to be a bit paranoid, but I just read a book about a facebook-like site that is used for stalking young girls. It's called Predator, and I really just sort of skim-read it.

Just been working on a new book cover for Elita... it's silly but we've come up with it before the book is finished, whoops!

Okay, I admit, I'm pretty pleased with it and wanted to show off a bit

recluse, I have heard of that book. Someone has gifted me plenty of fear, actually. I think I need to give some back.

was also just thinking... wouldn't it make for a funny and crazy few days to have a contest where everyone tried to drag out their old threads and put as many of them on the front page as possible, and then take a screen shot and one thread to post the screen shots so we can all take a look? Only old threads would work (no making up new threads for this purpose, that's too easy!).

Yes, I see a lot of problems with it, the biggest being that I'm far too lazy to do it. But it would dig up a lot of fun old threads for us to play with! Unfortunately, they'd get moved to the next page quickly as everyone vies for top dog. But we could do a guest thread day instead, where someone moves all the threads they can find from one person to the front.... but these all leave out people who have very few threads to post. And I'm thinking far too much about such stupid things when I should really be sleeping.

Yes, my name is Paul (though I've had some people call me "Daniel" in a strange confusion with my last name)... I also frequently go by the unimaginative alias of "Jack".

"Elita" is a very pretty name - suits the lady

It also gives me something hefty to holler when she's in trouble (but since that never happens I just have to imagine it in my head.

Paul, Daniel, Jack, all good names! I'm sure it's frustrating having two first names that confuse people...I went to high school with a "Tom (Thomas) Thomas." Talk about unimaginative! He had a twin brother who, thankfully, was not named Tom. Wouldn't it be funny if he was on here masquerading as, say, recluse?
