Did you try to scroll through your commands in the Alexa app looking for an order confirmation?

Surely Alexa keeps a list of what you order through her. After all, Jeff wants her to repeatedly try to get you to purchase them again, and again, and again....Of course she does seem rather deaf, disoriented, and senile a lot of the time, so getting her to remember might be a chore.

Scrolling through all the history looks like it would probably work, but it seems that even on the Alexa web app, there is no search function, so it could end up being a tedious manual process. I was hoping computers would do the grunt work for me.

I guess Wodin's way is the way I'll have to go.

The point, of course, was supposed to be to find a way to determine eligibility before hand, just as a matter of transparency and planning.

You really don't think Jeff wants to provide us a way to save the most, now do you? These discounts and credits are only to get us to buy more stuff without thinking. Oh look, a $10 credit, never mind all the gotchas, let me buy something. Its all about the marketing. Its always been all about the marketing. It will always be all about the marketing. Just look at the Kindles. I bet 75% of the features Jeff pushes onto the Kindles are to get us to buy more books and stuff. They could care less about usability features.

My Alexa order confirmation is quite noticeable, with a product picture.

I suppose you could call Amazon--they have to know, in order to determine eligibility.

I have no idea why that didn't occur to me.

Sears to sell Kenmore-branded appliances with Alexa integration on Amazon

According to this article, Sears will sell Kenmore-branded appliances with Alexa integration on Amazon.

Quote:
...The department store chain announced plans on Thursday to sell Kenmore-branded appliances on Amazon.com. Sears also said its Kenmore Smart appliances will be integrated with Amazon's Alexa platform....
Anyone remember when it was called Sears and Roebuck? My dad bought a ton of Craftsman tools there, back when said tools would last. The last Craftsman tools I bought there years ago were crap. I quit shopping there when they forced you to use the Discover card and wouldn't accept Visa or MC. That was 25+ years ago when they owned Discover, but they did away with that rule due to backlash. When I was growing up in the 1960s, Sears was THE big department store to shop at in Austin, TX. But the times have changed and Sears is now a nearly extinct dinosaur.

I think you mean Kmart under the Sears name is going to start selling on Amazon.
They closed our Sears and Kmart has been gone for years from here.
We had an under-performing store. Gee, wonder why when all the employees are in one area talking to each other and ignoring customers, oh except one who had a habit of preaching to the customers while they were wanting to talk appliances. (She did eventually lose her job.)
I went to their everything must go sell. Prices were cheaper online at Sears than their sale prices.

Kmarts have mostly disappeared from north TX. The shopping mall Sears are still around, at least some of them. I think small, rural towns still have a few Sears catalog stores, although I'm not sure why. Yep, the B&M stores like Sears were tops for so long that they didn't have to worry over being nice or helpful to customers, and that is biting them in the backside now. I think most people would rather order online and ship the goods to their homes, or go to places like Lowes and Home Depot rather than mess with shopping mall crowds at Sears.

Our Sears, you didn't even have to go into the mall itself, but parking was a pain because of its location in proximity to the theater. Penney's has the food court and ice rink.

Yes, same here about outside entrance to shopping mall Sears (plural), but the parking in a shopping mall is horrible even on the best days.

I not only remember when they were called Sears and Roebuck, but I remember back when Craftsman tools were synonymous with quality, as was their Kenmore brand of appliances.

Very sad indeed.

Dad always bought Craftsman tools because if they broke, which they rarely did back then, Sears would replace them without questions. Sadly both Craftsman and Kenmore brands are no longer reliable.
