I finally figured out printers.

Every year you can get a budget printer during Black Friday for $30-$50. Unfortunately, the cost of new ink cartridges for the printer runs about $75 for black ink + color inks. The solution is to buy a new printer every time you run out of ink. It's much cheaper!

Sad, but true - especially as printers have reverted back to separate cartridges for the colors ....

There are about 6 different providers in northern Thailand, and all of us were reporting an outage that lasted all day. (I don't know how the folks south of Bangkok were doing.) We could connect to all the local repeaters, but none of the international sites directly. I could get Facebook and Yahoo, but not Google, Youtube, or MobileRead. By 19:00 the problem had been corrected.

I think so. The model I bought says this in the specs:

Here, it is far more common to refill the cartridges. For every shop selling new carts, there are 20 shops selling either bottles of ink or offering refill service. With the service, the cost is about 1/4 of a new cartridge. DIY with a large bottle, and the cost is about 1/8. Two minute job to DIY, but if you aren't careful it gets messy. As long as you purchase the correct brand ink (Epson ink, Canon ink, etc.) for your printer, the color match is perfect. 5 years ago there was often a problem with the replacement inks clogging, but that doesn't seem to be the case any longer.
