Do you have an example? Use of "START" in the ToC seems to be something done where there isn't a real ToC. I've seen it a bit, I think in books from Smashwords.

An empty heading shouldn't affect the the chapter displayed, unless that is what is in the ToC. Calibre seems to use "(Untitled)" when generating the ToC from empty headings. Sigil seems to create the entry with no text. Testing that on the device does just show the page number

This sounds like the ToC is being rebuilt somewhere along the way. The extended driver doesn't do this. If you do a conversion to kepub, it will rebuild the ToC. Sending the result of the conversion would give this behaviour.

Sincerely, I have o idea where this behaviour comes from, but I use several of the Kobo patches, some of them concerning the Kobo headers, but in a more unspecific way (diminuishing height o header and so on). The contiuation of the previous chapter's header (in a new html file) occurs - as I noticed - when I appended this new html file in order to add some further information. The book where I saw the "START" issue, I had re-formatted in the mean time. But the next book I'll build, I shall deliberately format the described way and send you a PM.

I don't know if this is a bug in Access or a bug in the Extended Driver.

The ePub displays just fine. But the KePub has trouble with some of the centering on the title page and the copyright page (the two pages after the cover).

I've attached scrambled versions of the ePub and KePub that show the problem. Thanks.

I just tried it and do not see any problems. Care to give a bit more detail or post some screenshots?

That is what I see, and expected to see, when I use the left justification option in the font settings.

Turns out, full justification botches the centers. The only way it work is to turn off justification.

The kepub override CSS file contains:

Code:

div, p { text-align: %1 !important; }

so if you set the [Aa] menu's Justification button to anything other than 'Off' your screenshots are what I'd expect to see.

Your best bet is to enable the kobopatch 'Un-Force user text-align in div,p tags in KePubs' so that the kepub override CSS will be like the epub override CSS.

Calibre has detected updates for KoboTouchExtended and KePub Output plugins (version 3.2.13 for both), however version 3.2.12 is still tagged as 'Latest release' on Github.

Should I update the plugins from Calibre or not?

Yes you should update via Calibre to 3.12.13. That is the latest version pulled form the first post of this thread.

Hello, since yesterday i have the following Error-Message, when i plug my Kobo-Forma.
Does anyone know what i can do?
The newest FW is on my Forma, with Driver 3.12.13, and calibre 4.20.0!
If i disable the extendet driver, all works fine!

That means what it says in the last line. The database on the device is corrupt in some way. Unless you have a backup, the solution is to sign out of the Kobo account on the device, and then back in. This removes the current database, creates a new one and imports your books again. It will lose any reading status and annotations made for the sideloaded books, but, there isn't anything else you can do.

Is there any way to start using the "collections" options without destroying what I already configured on my Kobo directly? E.g., a way to import the existing collections into a column in Calibre?
