(I think I don't have the gene for enjoying bitterness or something, because I can't stand anything remotely bitter - dark chocolate, black coffee, alcoholic drinks and so on. Just no.)

It's relatively straight until it gets to a certain length and then the damn stuff seems to perm itself.

They make great burgers! Seriously when I was younger, my father purchased a couple of horses. My sisters loved horses, my brothers and I did not. Possibly since the boys were the ones shovelling out the stalls, we had a biased viewpoint.

The PBM has ridden on an animal other than a horse.

As a toddler I rode on a Galapagos tortoise of some sort at a small local zoo -- there was a photo. As a slightly older child I rode on a camel at the Bronx zoo. I don't really remember either event.

TPBM is still waiting for the writers' strike to end.

Not really. I seem to prefer older movies and TV shows anyway. They're mostly free of the modern compulsion to shoehorn unnecessary ideological nonsense into them.

TPBM has already seen shops with xmas merchandise displayed.

Sadly true. Though Thanksgiving is 40 days away (Canadian Thanksgiving, 2nd Monday in October), one store I was in recently had Thanksgiving, Halloween and Xmas decorations, etc. for sale. Santa and Jack Skellington were an odd mix.

The PBM has gone overboard purchasing Xmas presents.
