While reviewing the posts on this thread since I last logged in, I just started to wonder if there would be interest on the part of anyone else, besides me, in splitting this thread into at least two threads. If two threads, one thread would be for fiction audiobooks and the other would be for non-fiction audiobooks. The ebook threads are divided, in part, this way; of course, there are a lot more ebook posts than audiobook posts. Whaddaya think? Maybe if one or more want to respond it would be best to start a new thread for this.

I'm with Catlady on this one. Besides, I don't think there are enough audiobook deals to make a split worth it.

Very good. That's enough feedback for me to withdraw my suggestion.

Where I "was coming from" is this: I don't have any interest in fiction. Every time that I open the audiobooks thread I have to scan post after post sometimes to find a non-fiction audiobook. Sometimes I don't find one at all since the last time that I had checked. But, that's a minor inconvenience.

Thanks for the responses.

If you'd like, I can add a non-fiction section to the opening post. That would consolidate current offers in one location to make it easy to find.

Let me know

3. The last one is only free if you are clever. Over at Amazon you might want to check out "The Sportswriter" by Richard Ford, then look for the matching Whispersync title (Amazon, Audible). The Whispersync price is real good if the Amazon title is already in your library, or if you're clever like a little monkey I know...
Will add to OP (as soon as I figure out a category for these "clever" offers)

Mansfield Park - BBC Radio Play

For those into dramatized works, BBC Radio 4 Extra is currently offering a dramatized production of Mansfield Park by Jane Austen. Total length is 150 minutes (10 x 15 minute episodes). I just spotted this, so they're already up to episode six. Previous episodes are still available, but episode one is set to expire in 22 hours. That said, they also offer an omnibus in two parts of five episodes each. The first omnibus was just released and expires in six days, so there's still time to listen to the entire production. The second omnibus will be released next Sunday. BBC links below:

Amazon has a Whispersync pair of this book for those who want the full unabridged version:
Quote:
Mansfield Park is the third novel by Jane Austen, written at Chawton Cottage between February 1811 and 1813. It was published in May 1814 by Thomas Egerton, who published Jane Austen's two earlier novels, Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice. When the novel reached a second edition in 1816, its publication was taken over by John Murray, who also published its successor, Emma. Mansfield Park is a pygmalion morality epic.

The events of the story are put in motion by three sisters: Lady Bertram, Mrs. Norris, and Mrs. Price. Of the three sisters, Lady Bertram married extremely well, to a wealthy baronet; Mrs. Norris married a parson, who is given the living at the local parsonage by Sir Thomas Bertram, Lady Betram's husband. This allows them to live comfortably, yet far below the standards set by the Bertram's lifestyle. The third sister married a naval officer who shortly afterwards was wounded in battle and pensioned as a Lieutenant at half pay. They then proceeded to have nine children, which they could scarcely afford. Mrs. Norris, always wishing to appear to do right, proposes that Lady Bertram take one of the children to live with her at Mansfield Park. They choose Fanny Price, the eldest daughter, who is the protagonist of the novel. Thus, at age 10, Fanny is sent to live with her wealthy relatives.

Amazon US has three unabridged prequel short stories for Jason Mott's The Returned for free currently. The Returned is the book on which the US television series Resurrection is based on.

The Audible of The Returned is still regular price.

The Kindle versions of the short stories are available for free as well.

YW - you know, you can still start a non-fiction thread. I'll monitor it and add links to the OP. This thread wasn't meant to force discussion of all audiobook deals here. The reason for this thread is to list all current audiobook deals in one location via the opening post. Where the discussion takes place matters not. For example, the SYNC promo has its own thread.

Thanks for highlighting this deal, but it's already listed here - Free Audible Titles. It's been an ongoing freebie from Audible since August of last year.
