Actually, they already have pages and pages of items listed to go on sale from 8:00pm CDT (when the Deal Day sales start) and into tomorrow. It pays to start looking many hours ahead of time, so if you find something that interests you then you can click the Watch This Item button. They never list the discount price though, so you have to wait until the item goes on sale to find out if it is a good deal or not.

What I do is go to the Deals page several hours before the event starts, select Lightning Deals, select the category or categories I'm interested in, then browse through all the pages looking for upcoming deals. If I find one I click the Watch This Item button. That way you can go to your watched items page and watch them, but more importantly, you will get notified when the deal is about to start to help you remember.

During the event they will constantly be adding new stuff, but they seem to add it at the back end. In other words, if your category of Lightning Deals has 37 pages of deals, new deals will be added to page 37, then 38, etc. So after I make my initial run through all the pages, I bookmark the last page. Then every couple of hours or so I'll use that bookmark to go to the last page I saw. Then I browse through all the new pages and update my bookmark for the newest last page. That saves time, plus I don't have to remember where I last was.

Prime Day in Europe has already started. If the UK sale is any indication as to how the US sale will go, then the Echo and Echo Dot will be among the first items to go on sale.

I find it odd that Amazon does not list their devices in the Lightning Deals section. Other companies are already listing many of their items and the exact time they will go on sale, but not the sale amount of course. That way you can be there when the sale starts and get the deal if the price is suitable. Thankfully I'm not in the market for any Amazon devices.

I'm expecting a gift card deal, since they've had one the previous Prime Days. Other than that, I'm waiting to see what's going to be eligible for the extra 15 percent rewards when using the Amazon store card. I may pick up another Dot, too.

Sounds like she was so battered and traumatized she probably doesn't remember everything that happened. Her teenage daughter was upstairs during the attack. My guess is the daughter called 911. But with all that trauma and violence, neither woman might really know who called even if it was one of them. I hope she stays far away from him.
