I was looking forward to reading this as it sounds really good from all the comments here.

Unfortunately I can not seem to find it anywhere in the bookstore. Is that because i'm in the UK?

I think I heard of someone else who was having the same issue in the UK so I perhaps it's not available on that store.

It's definitely not in the UK store. I downloaded it direct from Sam's site. Drag it onto iTunes and it'll be in your iBooks shelf on the next sync.

Read the first 20 or so pages yesterday, over a coffee. Looking good...

Just finished reading Metagame - what an excellent book! One of the best reads I have had all year.

So far, so good.

I like the writing style and the story content and subject is excellent.

I'm not getting as far as quickly as I normally would, but it's not the books fault. I am in the middle of writing a computer game, starting to write an interactive fiction adventure, finish other books I am reading and watch the footbal world cup,

all while still having to go to work each day.

Thing is, any spare moment I do have it is this book that has my interest most at the moment so it is what I pickup to do.

I guess that must say something for it too

I get the 'Dictionary not available for this language' error now, with iBooks 1.1. This is the only book in my collection that does it. (There's another thread on the topic here somewhere)

Do you get this when you try to define a word? I don't have an iPad so forgive the ignorance.

Just finished Metagame. Overall, I liked it a lot. I enjoyed the world that was portrayed in the book. I have to say it needs some editing - not so much in the storyline but in the spelling. There are numerous uses of the wrong homophones which got to be distracting after a while. However, the price was right, so I can't complain too much. I guess it's because I'm a teacher and a stickler for that stuff! I would have liked more background information about how the world evolved into that form. As I said, though, I did enjoy it and would love to see a sequel.

Thanks for the read and the feedback! The book got picked up by Amazon.com's newly created publishing division, AmazonEncore, and they're editing the crap out of it, LOL. Two seperate editors are hitting it, both for copy edits and for more in-depth feedback. When it gets re-released, it will be sparkly clean and even have some cool story tweaks.
