Thanks @knc1, I got an UPDATE ERROR 4 while UYK to 5.9.0.6. Could you help me? Could you kindly supply the checksum of the firmware? Thanks.

PS:
Yours is the first report of any problems with that factory package.
If your using a Mac, check what it might be doing to the package in checking that it is a "safe" download.
So your looking for some very unusual problem (like a bad download - which is what your checking already).

Thanks @knc1. Resumed download got a .bin file with same size but different checksum. I downloaded it again and jb succeeded.

Is there any extension or solution for remote page turner? KindleLazy is perfect for PW3 but doesn't work on KOA2.

Nothing has been posted.
I suspect all of the authors are waiting for me to finish the jail break support stuff first.

What you request requires building new modules for the system kernel.
Not a project to be undertaken lightly on a device without serial port support or the second boot option of a "diags" system to make it possible to escape from mistakes.

I am not interested in "wasting" a $300 device and I suppose there are others that feel the same way.

Yes.
It is not a "complete" blue tooth system.
Amazon/Lab126 only built the modules that they needed for speakers.

It might be possible to prototype these things on an earlier Kindle model, ones with known serial port connections (and the KT2(?), KT3 also have blue tooth).

Thanks. I hope so. Bluetooth page turn seems easier to use than otg because no receiver is necessary.

I looked at it a little bit, but I ended up returning mine because I didn't like the screen gradient.

There is quite a lot of bluetooth code in the source bundles amazon provides.

In the couple weeks I looked at it, I was not able to compile those programs into something that would execute on the kindle, but I definitely think it should be possible.

It looked like all the USB OTG that used to be avialable in paperwhite was reomoved, and that looked like a nightmare to hook back in, it looked like it needs a lot of hardware specific customization.
