I'm not talking the program. I'm talking the installer. The firt time I went to install, it crashed. The second time it ran, but I had t stop it. The third time I ran it it worked, but I was putting the directory where it wasn't allowed so I had to stop it again. Then when I got the directory sorted, I ran again and it crashed. Then I ran last time and it worked. So the installer is a lot flakey.

I've found a couple of bugs when reading in web browsers.
I tried Edge in Windows 10 and get the Error cannot read book popup. Then I get "Could not open book Click to go back to the details page for: Book id #1799". When I click to go back, I don't go anywhere. Next is Firefox. same book. Different bug. I am reading on a full HD screen in full screen. It comes out to 3 columns. I have the margins set to 15 instead of the default 20. I have the font size to the third largest. Now comes the interesting bug. When reading a specific chapter, it drops the last paragraph which is one line. There is space between the previous line and the end of the screen, but not enough to fit one more line. So this line is lost and I then can move on to the next chapter. Now if I go back, the last line show and the text is no longer in the same place. Now in going backwards, it gets to where there is one column left not displayed. So it displays that columns and shift over the other two. If you need to see the eBooks, I'll PM a link. |

When the firewall is active, i get timeouts. Then i delete both rules for the calibre-server an create a new one for incoming connections: - open all ports - open all protokolls - only privat network some problem. Second rule for outgoing connection, same settings: - it works, but in the first step the cover will not show, click on "read more" the next books are ok with cover |

@JSWolf: Edge is not supported for reading books, it is missing needed features.
As for Firefox missing the last line ina chapter, sure send me a book, but given that pagination depends critically one things like window size, fonts size, margins, etc. the chances of my being able to replicate it are slim. |

@Tuxracer: the cover problem is fixed in 2.99.5 -- upgrade to that and you should be fine.

When setting options while reading a book, the header overlaps with a border line. See screenshot.
Also, if e.g. the server fails to connect to a worker process when rendering the book for the first time, it offers to go back to the book details page... but then the X which is supposed to go back to the book list, doesn't. Going back to the book details is in fact going forward to the book details, while the X is going back in the browser history... back to the failed attempt to read the book! |

@eschwartz: This should take care of the headers: https://github.com/kovidgoyal/calibr...7a0be6fba3459c
As for the go back to details page, I'm confused. What X? When there is an error opening a book, a popup is displayed with the error message. When you click the X on the popup it is closed and you are left ona page that says something like: Could not open book...click to go back to book details There is no X there? |

The X on the book details page, after you followed the directions to "click to go back to book details".
![]() (Of course you can still click on tags, or hit the back button in your browser history a few times, if you want to get back to the book list.) |

In any case I think I'll improve the error handling in the book reader to make that error page a little more useful. And avoid having both an error popup and a unerlying error page.
