I can see four post and a PM from you about this in about a day. Asking multiple times without waiting is wasting every ones time. I respond when I see the requests. Multiple requests just mean I have to work out what is actually being requested.

If you found my name on youtube (something I wish people would not do), then I'm pretty sure you found it as part of some ones video showing how to write the image to the card. I suggest you follow those instructions. But, you can look at Memory Upgrade Mod Guide. That is for the Glo, but the basic steps and tools are the same.

Just found one of these N647's for free, getting the "No books found" and "No database" Calibre error after a factory reset, could I grab the image from you @davidfor?

What update? The last update for WiFi was several years ago. How did you just get an update for it?

Yes the update was done long back (infact almost 3 years back i guess) and i was stuck without any luck. Just came across this post recently

Hi David , after spending a few days on the internet I was led to this forum. I have a second hand Kobo N647, software version 1.9.11 dated 6/1/13. It connects to the computer, I can see the Kobo folder in Windows Explorer, I move books to this folder, but my Kobo still says on Home Page "no books". I tried to put ebook on SD card but with the same results. Is there any way to go around it to make it working? Thank you in advance for your help.

@Kasia2021: You need to enable Private Messaging. This is in the "Edit Options" of the control panel. If this isn't there, it has to be added somehow. You can try posting in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=319819 to ask it to be enabled, or contact a moderator.

By the Kobo folder do you mean the folder called ".kobo"? If so; no; don't put books there. Either copy books to the root of the device shown in Explorer, or create a folder (again in the root) that does NOT begin with a "." and put the books there.

David - thank you for your reply. I did not see PM options in my Control Panel. I followed your link and asked moderator to unable it. Hopefully my wish will be fulfilled.

Peter - I apologize, my bad English. What I meant by Kobo folder was the "root of the device shown" in Windows Explorer. I tried also external memory card, different versions of Calibre app and each time I am getting the message " unable to communicate with device error". I installed Kobo Desktop app and tried to set up my erader but it is connecting and connecting and connecting and nothing happens. I guess my ereader has suffered from the common issue that let so many other people to this forum.

I will post again when my PM is enabled.
