I know this for Fire TV but I just got Google Play Movies on my Roku! You might want to think about that before jumping into the world of streaming. It's seem the Roku is becoming the best of all worlds in movies and videos.

Our Roku 2 is our primary streaming device. We distribute its output to all the TVs in the house, along with our Tivos.

Oh I am getting one because I believe Audible will be added further down the line and you can already listen to Prime Music on it. Roku doesn't have that ability and I can play Life on it and that's our family game. For $19 you can beat it.

I'm just saying those who would look at it full price or the Fire TV box. Roku has much more for movies and TV Shows. Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu (Ultra Violet) Google Movies, Amazon Instant Video, Redbox are just a few options.

I would be surprised if Amazon pulled their app from Roku. They want to sell content more than devices. That's probably why they finally got their videos on Google Android.

Nah I don't see Amazon doing it. They don't care about which device you use they just want to sell videos. Even though Amazon is a Walled garden so to speak they've always been smart in getting their apps on all platforms. It's content that Amazon wants to sell. The devices are secondary.

I totally agree. What surprised the heck out of me was Google Play Movies being released on Roku. Talk is music is next. So maybe Google is seeing how well Amazon is doing and giving it a try.

The Prime Music addition is a nice one. I have a roku already so its not like I "needed" this stick. But $19

I don't buy anything from google account, I assume this google movies is just like amazon and vudu and such? I only rent from amazon if I do rent pretty much. Usually when I do a search and compare the prices are almost always the same on all the providers and sometimes cheaper on Amazon. And one less payment account to keep track off.
