Amazon is having a Mother's Day Sale on a number of books. Among other things, there are two Connie Brockways for $1.99. (I've put a link for the romance books, but there are a bunch others, too.)

FYI - Anyone considering buy the box set "Risque" . . . the file is a train wreck. Missing chapter headers and epub split doesn't like it.

Does anyone know anything about the SEALs of Summer box set? The price looks good, but I'm not sure I want to get stuck with ten 20-page teasers or extra-short short stories.

It says 1300 pages but I never trust the Kindle page count as it is off by "real" pages usually.

I bought the Julie James from Google using the funds from that survey app, so a big to apesmom for the suggestion. It was "full" price ($5.99) but I feel like it was free. (Also learned I have a guidebook for the Nexus I didn't know about )

Just started rereading Texture of Intimacy. I only have it and Heart of Obsidian left in my Psy/Changeling reread so I will no doubt finish too early. So much for my reread schedule And I would rather finish too soon than hold back on one of my favorites in the series and then have something happen where I can't reread it before June 3rd.

I bough 6 books this week.

I am reading Nashville Dreams by Rachel Hauck which was originally titled Lost in NashVegas. It's Inspirational ChikLit and wow so far it's sooo good! It's about a girl from Alabama who moves to Nashville to be a songwriter. This is not your typical Christian fiction novel. The heroine says Crap and she makes out with boys and she sings and writes country songs. This was picked up by Harpercollins. I might have to check out their other Inspirational novels by this imprint. There is some romance in it but it's ChikLit so far.

Now back to packing and packing! If you missed it I have thread in the Lounge Forum updating everyone on the move. It's just 2 days away! So if you don't see anything from me in this thread check there.

Very Bad Things by Ilsa Madden-Mills: Have it but not read yet

Shattered Ties by K.A. Robinson: I read Torn by this author and rated that one a 2. Generally when I rate an author that poorly I don't bother with anything else from them.

Sizzle by Lexi Buchanan : Have it but haven't read yet

Always You by Missy Johnson: I have 2 freebies from her but I haven't read this author yet at all

Love in Between by Sandi Lynn : I read Forever Black by this author and rated that one a 2 also.

Emerge by S.E. Hall: This one has been free a few times, I absolutely LOVE this series [this is book 1 in the Evolve series, I've read all 4 of them]

Fallen Crest High by Tijan : I read Broken and Screwed by this author and rated that one a 1, DNF.

BTW, Was it AuntyKatKat that recommended If I Stay by Gayle Forman? I really enjoyed it, so thank you for recommending it. It was very different than what I was expecting, more of a family drama than YA romance but very well done. I wish I'd bought both books right away though! I'll have to move on to the 2nd book pretty quickly. I see now why people who waited for the 2nd book were anticipating it so highly.

I've read Nina Levine, Bella Jewel, and Carmen Jenner, those 3 are 3-4 star authors IMO. The only author I've read in that bunch and wouldn't recommend is Jani Kay, I've read 2 of hers and didn't care for her writing, 1-star DNF IMO.

ETA: also, if you haven't already, I thought you mentioned wanting to buy Bend, it's getting pulled so just a heads up to grab it before it's gone.

I purchased Seals of Summer on May 2 and can loan it to you to look it over before you buy. Let me know.

I also just saw a very detailed review of it, they are all apparently very short stories.
Review here is a 3-star (but sometimes those are the most unbiased)
