I did not like the ending in Cyteen and I think that either i missed the whole point of the book or there was no point. Parts of the book was very good but I think it failed as a whole. And I am still irritated that you do not get to know who closed the door and I think the author does not know either (she was asked at a science ficition convention in Oslo).

I thought of an author who I loved certain works by but disappointed me greatly as her fame increased. Mercedes Lackey. It seems as though starting in the early nineties she just started cranking out cookie cutter novels. I don't recall which series/books just after being a fan from the Queen's Own and Last Herald Mage trilogies I found everything I read after that to be quite horrid.
