This was a freebie that I actually got around to reading. You ebook addicts know exactly what I'm talking about! ;-) Anyway, it was a fun light read and I enjoyed it. Definitely worth picking up for free.

The prequel Cat's Fancy is just 99 cents. I got mine at Kobo though with coupon.

I use to have these books and lost them. Now I am slowly collecting them in ebook.

Oh Lori Wilde was in Kingsport, TN today and I missed it. I didn't find out till it was over. Hubby is consoling me saying next time but we seldom get authors around here.

I understand, Blossom! Last year, I timed a visit to Southern California to visit my parents so I could go to the literacy booksigning at RWA (I've gone every time it's in NYC and had a blast.) Trouble is, I thought it was a day later than it actually was and didn't realize it until half an hour before the event ended. I was SO bummed.

Oh no! I think I would be crying hysterically if I was able to go to RWA book signing and missed it. I am bummed about missing Lori Wilde. If only she would've posted it on Facebook last night but she was having internet problems due to all the rain we are having. It's waterlogged here.

Hey, no confessions tonight? Did everyone spend too much?

I was good (especially compared to the last time):

A Mackenzie Family Christmas: The Perfect Gift ($0.99)
Me, Cinderella? ($0.54)
Shine Not Burn ($0.64)
The Wicked ($1.70)
Unbreak Me ($0.49)
(plus 2 non-fiction titles totaling $11.00)

7 books = $15.36

Ha, on Friday I thought it was Monday, yesterday I spent most of the day thinking it was Sunday, so forgot today actually was
  • The Colton Ransom by Marie Ferrarella
  • The Paris Assignment by Addison Fox (already read the paperback. Though I had some issues with the cartoon-like villain, I liked the set-up for this series)
  • The Officer and the Secret by Jeannette Murray
  • Time Raiders: The Whisper by Elle James
  • When Somebody Loves You by Cindy Gerard (2-in-1 with Temptation from the Past and Slow Burn)
  • Flood Tide by Stella Whitelaw
  • Night Moves by Linda Howard (2-in-1 with Dream Man and After the Night)
  • Black Knight, White Queen by Jackie Ashenden (Samhain pre-order)
  • Exhale by Dakota Harrison (Samhain pre-order)
  • Bending Over Backwards by Samantha Hunter (Samhain pre-order)
I kept my Sony 30% coupon code to use on a book which releases tomorrow since Sony is usually really good about making new books available on release day.

Mixing up days, I do that often, especially if I take a vacation or sick day out of the blue.

Night Moves!! Two of my favorite Linda Howards in one package! If I didn't already own both as ebooks, I'd so buy this.

Have you read the first two Jeanette Murrays in the Semper Fi series? I started the first book (The Officer Says "I Do"), got to chapter 4 I think and put it aside. It just wasn't doing anything for me. I'll have to go back it to someday to either finish it up or put it down as a DNF.

This weekend I read The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, my first historical in months (the Complete the Bridgerton Epilogues book doesn't count) and it was awesome. The hero is just divine; he suffers from what I'm assuming is some form of autism. To me, he's more than a tortured hero and less than a tortured hero at the same time. I can't really explain except to say that he doesn't come as an angsty hero (though I like these for the most part) but a very sensitive soul who's had awful things done to him. My original plan was to get the books (the series is called Highland Pleasures) from the library (though I had to buy the 4.5 novella because it was self-published) but now it looks like these will be books I'll want to own. So more Kobo coupons to look out for

On a funny (as in weirdish) note, today I started one of the books I bought recently - Shine Not Burn - and the hero's name is Gavin "Mack" Mackenzie, and he has a brother named Ian. In the above historical, the hero's name is Ian Mackenzie and he has a brother name Roland "Mac" (whose story I started today as well). Weird, huh?

This is one of my favorite romance novels. I didn't warm to the next one as much, although that's not saying I didn't like it. I think the third one is almost as good as the first, though, if you like angsty heroes.

You went wild, missy! Your stuff looks good, though. I almost bought the Kristen Probys but I was able to control myself, whew! And I forbid everyone to mention Lick again in this thread! I want it bad but I'll wait. I mean, I think I'll wait

Oooh, book 3 is Cameron's story and I already love him (and Daniel!)! I can't wait *dreamy sigh*

I could NOT wait for this one, so 2 words for you 'Kobo Coupon!'.

I was bad this week, but I'm getting so much better at buying mostly wishlist items and not clicking on those $1 buys 'just because'. The Kristen Proby's have been on my wishlist a long time too. Now if I could just stop adding to my wishlist!

ETA: I'm still waiting for Tangled if that makes you feel any better! :lol

Love this one! I've read the first 2 in the series but this one is still my favorite. I picked up 3, 4, 4.5, 5 during one of the recent Kobo contest code binges. Lord Cameron is working his way up on my TBR list.
