I remember the stands, and I remember the fantastic lattes, but I don't remember bikini clad baristas. Of course, it's been a while since I was in Seattle.

I just read this on the Fire's Feature page:
Quote:
Read Your Documents

Kindle makes it easy to take your documents with you. You can e-mail documents - including Word, PDF and more - directly to your Kindle so you that you can read them anytime, anywhere.
I hope reading documents isn't all it can do. I can convert docs to text and read them on my Kindle Keyboard. I expect a tablet to be able to edit documents.

I pass by several of them on my way to work. Don't care for coffee, so never stopped.

Coby 7012 for $100 going through the FCC according to Good eReader. The specs are paltry (256 RAM), but the form factor looks better and more in line with higher end 7-inchers. Has the usual, USB, SD card slot, 800mhz CPU, so if you're really only wanting an LCD reader with wifi for occasional browsing, a $100 is way easier to swallow than $200. No word on what sort of screen we're getting, but for that price, I'd bet its 800x400 resistive.

Sounds low end but it will be interesting to see more on it. I am getting the 7022 next week. I keep hoping the sale will last till then. $144 is a great price!

Been reading some disturbing things in the Lenovo forums (on Lenovo's site). Essentially, the Ideapad K1 doesn't have full market access according to Google. Lenovo says it is certified, and Google is saying their devices don't get full access. Netflix is also telling Ideapad owners that they do not have access to movies.

The Lenovo reps have also gone silent on the thread regarding this issue. I'm pretty close to calling Lenovo and canceling my order and throwing in with the Vox. Giving them a chance with an inquiry on this, but if I don't have a clear answer/proof, they're gone. I'm not going to pay for bells and whistles I can't use!

Are you referring to the 10 inch tablet (K1) that's being discussed in the forums on Lenovo.com? Did you order the A1 (7 inch)? Just trying to follow what you're saying.

Netflix is available to all Android devices running 2.2, 2.3, and 3.x in the USA, Canada, and Latin America. Not getting why Ideapad owners are locked out.

Couldn't it be sideloaded? That what I plan to do with the 7022 it doesn't need root access or anything like that from what I've read.
