I purchased a cheap 'kindle 4' cover from ebay, expecting it to be of similar quality to the PU cover I bought from Skindigital (one with elastic straps) but it smells of chemicals and the material wasn't very sturdy. I recommend the Skindigital cover except you cover the decal skin if you have one
On a side note, the ebay kindle 4 covers fit both the Kobo Touch and the Sony PRS T1

Anyone got a case with a built-in light? Are they worth the extra cost, or is it better to just have a separate clip-on light...or never try to read in the dark at all?

Can someone here recommend the sturdiest case for accidental drops. I'm not too worried about the crush factor (sitting/leaning on it). I just want to be sure my KT is not damaged in case I drop it accidentally.

I always read my former Kobo without a case, and kept it in a Root's sleeve. I've actually had it fall out of my pocket when I bent down to tie my shoelaces. Now that I have a KT, which is smaller, I definitely worry about it falling out of my pocket.

Lighted covers?

Apologies to the previous poster, I don't have an answer for you.

This lighted cover looks interesting. Anyone seen this for sale in Canada or through a Canadian dealer? I don't recall ever seeing it offered on the Kobo or Chapters webstores despite the branding on the cover.

What I do see, however, is this lighted cover. I like that the case isn't wide like the other one, but is that whole font cover taken up by battery? I wonder how much of the bezel it overlaps or if it could accidentally press against the screen.

Anyone got either of these? Anyone got an opinion (whether they own one or not)?

Doesn't use the four corner straps.
I did a size comparison online and the prs650 is .11" wider, .17" taller and .03" thicker. The TuffLuv case looks so nice that I ordered it and am hoping it works.
After shipping and handling charges to Canada the full amount was only $20! I can add some foam to fill the difference in width and height if needed. The kobo is 1/32" thicker so hopefully this book cover isn't a tight fit. Will know if 14 days if this works and will review online then.

kindle 4 cases fit kobo touch

I have a very nice case for my kobo touch that I bought on ebay. It was designed for the kindle 4 but fits the touch perfectly. They are virtually the same size. Mine is a verticle "flip" type that also acts like an easel, but there are many others out there with different styles.

If you are looking for a case for the KT, search for Kindle 4 cases there are more out there and they are generally cheaper.

Hi guys,

Looking for a case for the Kobo touch here in Scotland. This one on Amazon.co.uk is for Kindle touch, does anyone know if they fit the Kobo? I have a voucher for Amazon, so kind of looking there first.

Does anyone have the skindigital cover that flips over instead of opening like a book? I was wondering if the clasp gets in the way?

I'm pretty sure the first one you mentioned is the one they sell for $50 at Futureshop and Bestbuy in Canada.

For my take on how to go, see my post c/w product links in this other thread:

Hey, thanks for the heads up. In the six weeks since I posted that, I was gifted a clip on light that I've been using sans cover (actually don't have a cover, just a zip case). Still considering an integral unit, however, for ease of travel. The external light doesn't pack very conveniently.

Thanks to this thread, I've ordered the Cover-up case for my Kobo Touch from Amazon (UK). Should be with me in a day or two!

I have SD case, flip over style. I simply fold the clasp back flat, when I want it to stand the unit on its own. For hand held, I fold the clasp back, then snap it to magnetic closing.

I just received the TuffLuv case for the Sony 650 that was mentionee by SCION.
The case was $20 total after shipping and handling from England to Canada!

The case fits perfectly snug. There is a small one-eighth inch gap at the bottom that could be filled with foam if needed. Without the foam spacer, the kobo can be pushed right to the bottom and the home button is covered if you do that. It's not really necessary though. This case is great, although a little heavier than I expected.

Being cushioned, it's really comfortable to hold onto and protects the reader nicely. It's not too floppy so I find I can hold the eReader many different ways, including folding the front cover right around to the back.

I originally bought an ereader cover made for Kobo, but I found the 'synthetic leather' odour to be really strong (I'm sensitive to chemicals/odours). So, I bought McCall's pattern #6091 and made my own. I have one for my Kobo original and one for my Touch. I had to adapt the pattern to fit each one, since I think the pattern is actually for some version of the Kindle. You don't have to be an expert sewer, either, since I'm not overly experienced with sewing.

I recommend these because you don't have to hold it open like a book, you can open the front cover and snap it to the back cover. It's really comfortable to hold this way.
