I think that's a good plan.

I wanted to do it because, apart from needing to be in control of it, I fully expected to continue producing film (I am not shy of cameras, and have just scanned in some from an Argus B and an Argus C3). Now though...I think I recently had an epiphany of sorts, that I need focus ('scuse the pun), and I've decided to concentrate on digital. I've a fairly good DSLR that frequently amazes me with its IQ, and I should take advantage of that rather than scattering and distracting myself. Also, excuse to buy a pocketable digi (Canon S95 maybe?)

Of course, I've still got all of the mother-out-law's photo albums to scan (I don't know why she didn't keep the negs). At least those will be quicker to scan, if more labour-intensive.

Photographically-speaking, I slightly disagree in that I try to capture beauty in everyone, and find from the experience that conventional standards of beauty are ridiculously exclusionary. Most everyone has that Something about them, but we rarely have the patience to give reasonable contemplation to seeing it (we're prone to sort aesthetics on brief first sight, rather than slow second).

You all are beautiful, though I cede that self-reflection almost always occurs through the Ugly Glasses.

I like photography.

Marc is the only one brave enough to put an actual photo of himself (my baby pix don't count) on MR for us all to see.

They display the work of local photographers at my library.
Some of the photos are quite stunning.

On the other hand, my sister couldn't take a decent photo to save her life.
But she keeps them all.

I take lots of photographs. Most of them are crap. Occasionally I snag a goodie!
And thanks to bloke finding that old backup, I have recovered my photos prior to jan 2009. I took one of a seal once on a rocking boat with the zoom fully extended, and got lucky with a pic. When the pic was captured we could see all the seal poo on the rocks!

I don't take many photographs.
There is one that I am very proud of, though.
It is of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. When I took it, you couldn't see the bridge due to the heavy fog. I took a picture, anyway. When I had it developed, it turned out to be a perfect, crystal clear shot of the bridge.

Yay! I am looking forward to it.

We just got a new printer/scanner. And now I can put old fashioned photos on the computer yay! It even turns negatives into pictures. Amazing!

I used to have to take a photo of a photo to get it into the computer. Not always very successful.

My photo is around online if you look for it. Not that anyone would want to see it since it looks a lot like me. Of course it was taken 60 pounds ago.

I'd hate to shatter anyone's illusions, so no pictures of me.

Just got home from work, and pulled a three section discussion question response out of thin air for my Human Resources 101 class. Most of the time when they start on a short week, the instructors give you an extra day to get that first discussion post in. Not this time, and since I had to work tonight, I'm basically making it up as I go.

Now that that is finished, I'm starving. Menu for me tonight is canned chili, with cheese, sour cream, and tortillas.
