Making a new cup of coffee and watching CNN reports about the East Coast. So sad with all the damage and scary when they are talking about what the continued weather may cause.

VydorScope, I hope your family is all OK and ProfCrash, how nice of you both to open your home to those in need.

We have now heard from all but one... no one has heard from them since before the storm. We are 600 miles from them our I would just drive/hike/swim over and find out.

W00T! I put out an all call on Facebook to track them down and someone saw it and called someone else who drove out to their house and found them stuck with out power or food! Now they have dinner and are safe! Yay! Internet+Smart phones rock at a time like this!

Just finished some OJ while Lucas ate. Hoping he falls back asleep for my hubby and our guests sake. I have to get ready for work in about 5 minutes but am enjoying holding him.

Supposed to be a rainy day tomorrow, so I'll prolly be hanging around the hotel. I'd like to get some photos of the hotel's outdoor hot spring, as well as some shots around the Lobby (or 'Robby' as it says on the directory...) so I'll see if I can do justice to the room. Pull some of the sheets from the extra beds, dip them in the cheap hotel wine and make some torches. That give some ambiance to the room too.

Hmmm. I get a mental image of Maxwell Smart with his shoe phone. Only, if your lights are similarly mounted on the heel of your shoe, you are going to have to sit down to use TWO of them at the same time!

(Yeah, I have a vague idea of what they *really* are. But that's not as much fun!)

Drinking iced tea. But from a re-used bottle, rather than a cup.
