Nice story, Vincent. 40 years! Wish we could hand down stuff like that here in the UK for repeat offenders. We keep letting them back out on the streets to offend again and again.

Nice costume, Orlok! Trick or treat!

I bought a new tea this afternoon. Yesterday I was talking with a friend in Hong Kong, about our various adventures around India and Sri Lanka, and he mention something that happened to him in Kandy, Sri Lanka. I remembered that an Import shop in Kyoto carried several different Dimbula teas, one being from Kandy, so on today's walk I made sure to pass that shop and buy a bag to try. I have another Dimbula that was just so-so and figured to give the Kandy a try if it was loose leaf.

It was. I bought it and I'm drinking it right now. Conclusion: I prefer Uva over Dimbula. Uva is grown at higher elevations than Dimbula, and perhaps that accounts for the difference, but both Dimbulas that I have taste too much like Lipton Yellow Label tea. Not bad... drinkable... just not memorable.

I didn't bother to make up tea bags with it. It will live sealed up in its foil pouch at the back of the shelf until used for ice tea... in a few months?
