Tad Williams' To Green Angel Tower (book 3 of Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn) is on sale for $1.99. This isn't a series I've read, but since the print price is $25.00 and the previous two books are $9.99 each, it looks like a good deal to me.

This is the full volume, corresponding to both parts 1 and 2 of the original paperbacks.

Awaken Online: Catharsis by Travis Bagwell

This is a litRPG book, with the premise that the characters are inside an immersive video game, including experiencing loss of hit points, leveling up, etc.

Some of the characterization is a bit clunky, but there's creativity around the tale of a low-level character figuring out how to play with the rules of the game.

The sequels are currently marked down as well - I've read the second but not the third.

The Dragonriders of Pern, an omnibus of the first three pern books by Anne McCaffrey, is on sale at Amazon US for $2.99.

That's a great deal for three books that don't go on sale often! (Technically not the first three Pern books, I know...but the first three in the Dragonriders series itself. )

FWIW, the paper version of the 3 book omnibus was altered to sell to the school market. Very likely this ebook version is the same. Thus, if you want the original books, get the individual books.

In what ways was it altered? I can see that the prologue in the omnibus does not match the introduction from Dragonflight in the preview from Google Books. I haven't checked my paper copy from the 1970's.

The prologue is definitely different than the individual Dragonflight. There's a single prologue for the whole omnibus instead of one for each book, and it looks like it was written for that purpose (it has more information about historical Pern than I remember from those).

White Dragon does have at least one of the sex scenes, which I would expect to be removed if it were altered for a school market. There was also a book club edition that had the same text as the original books, this may follow that.

(where did you get information about an altered school market version? I can't find anything in a google search)
