I'm going to completely ignore the last several posts, having just dined on stuff I cooked but didn't recognize. Now I shall have an nice after dinner mug of Ceylon Dimbulla tea.

Golden mushroom Pu-erh. I am doing well by not having a beer, I brought over Lucas's stuff in for day care. The lead teacher commented that we would be working as a team to raise Lucas and a part of my heart broke.

There are not that many kids in his room and there are five teachers. He has his own crib. They have bouncy seats, exersaucers, and padded areas for the kids to lay on and play. He will do great there, I know, but still.

My wife stays at home with my son. She has ever since we started trying for him. I know, and understand that not everyone can do that. I really do... but I wish more mom's could. Nothing like a child's own mom to rise him.

That does sound like a good place where Lucas will be well-cared for while you are not there; but so hard to leave him, I know. I cried the first time I left my son with someone.

Is there a way you can have pictures or mini vids sent to you, during the day, by the teacher? If not, maybe leave a cheap camera in the diaper bag for them to use daily to take photos during the day for you?

Agreed and we could do that but it would mean not having a college fund, not getting to see his extended family regularly, and missing out on other opportunities. We would have to move further away from where my husband works so less time with Dad. There is no easy choice. If we can limit his time in day care then we will have struck an acceptable balance. The hope is he spends 18 hours a day at home. Once he goes to school, he will spend less then that. And hopefully he won't he have to take out student loans to start his adult life while having fond memories of trips to his grandparents.
