Great!
Is it just compatible with the last 650 firmware? Thank you! |

First: Thank you for your work!
I tried the new firmware on my 350. The former version (alpha) worked well. Especially with my CSS-files for formatting EPUB files. After flashing first the new Sony firmware and second your new version of PRS+ the CSS files stopped working. It’s not possible to change fonts any longer. I tried several files (all of them of course in the right folder) – no chance. I’m able to select them in the PRS+ setting, open another book and reopen the former one as usual, nothing happens. Of course rebooted the reader several times, have had a look for correct paths, tried to fix the USB volume with windows. No chance. Did I miss something? Thank you |

No, it's just the CSS path in the binary is wrong. :S As a workaround, save your CSS file as /epub/userStyle.css |

Wow, cool.
I hope PRS+ will also support Korean letters in the near future (there are just about 20-30). |

Help!!!
The new firmware deletes every note, comment, page number in every book I read (opening a book opens pager number one), every cached thump, … when restarting the reader. I lost all my comments etc. But the real problem is that: I’m not able to reflash the reader with the original firmware. And of course not with the prs+ alpha. The Reflasher doesn’t work: it tries to install, reader is rebooting 2 times and in the end there comes a note like “Update isn’t complete – Please try again”. I at least want to have the original firmware. A. |

Where did you get the update that you are trying to install? Did you use custom LRF scale settings? If reader is in "update isn't complete", try the standard sony updater. PS ***Setup.exe-s are removed until we resolve problem mentioned above. (which sounds much like damaged cache file) Last edited by kartu; 05-17-2011 at 06:11 PM. |

It's your "reflasher" PRS-350_Updater_1.0.00.14080.exe from http://code.google.com/p/prs-plus/downloads/list.
I also tried to use the original sony updater. First in its untouched form, then extracted the exe and modified the *.dat to force the flasher to work (dit the same thing you did i guess withm the sony updater). A |

My PRS-350_Updater_1.0.00.14080.exe is also nothing else as orignal updater with modified .dat. Exactly what happens when you try to update it with standard sony updater? |

The untouched flasher doesn't work. It refuses cause of the same (new) firmware version. With editing the DAT file it tries to flash like this:
1) Select language and accept --> OK 2) New version 2...; current version 1.... --> klick on 'update' 3) update in progress --> reader restarts --> 'waiting for prs350 to restart' --> 'installing new software' 4) reader says ' actualizing', but just for a very short time --> then autom. restarting --> reader says 'don't disconnect' 5) Flasher says 'update isn't complete' 6) When closing the flasher, reader seems to be OK 7) When restarting reader the prs+ firmware ist still present Your flasher acts the same way A. |

Did you use custom LRF scale settings? Reset the reader and immediately connect it to the PC. PRS+ shouldn't start ("safe mode"). If it still does, check for "runonce.sh" script in the root of internal memory, delete it, and repeat. Then try it with Sony Updater. |

No chance. I even deleted the whole internal memory (with PC an with the reader).
I'm able to start without PRS+ in safe mode. Even with clear internal memory no update works. Not the original sony nor the touched one. There is no runonce.sh. A. Edit: Ah, and yes, I played around with the LRF scale settings before the problem arose Last edited by Analogus; 05-17-2011 at 06:50 PM. |

Anyway, there is another, "soft" way to remove PRS+ (launcher will still remain in flash in this case, but it won't do anything, since you'll remove prsp folder) get one of the "requires base" updates, remove prsp subfolder of PRSPInstaller and reboot. This should remove PRS+. |

Doesn't work. Copied the base-installer on the reader (first the content of the zip-file = one folder; then the content of the folder; with and without PRSP subfolder), restart --> no reaction. I eve made a hard reset of the reader. Try to flash, base flash, ...
Try once more tomorrow A. |
