Firmware update 5.12.4 - Page 14

Well my Oasis3 showed it after a restart, but my Oasis1 did not. My oasis3 would have probably gotten it without the restart at that point. But like all of you, I just want something. Any little exitement.

To be clear though, there is nothing new, just some of the options are now reshuffled into the Aa menu. So its a new look, but no new options of any kind I can see.

I am trying to attempt attaching pics. Its been a long while since I did it.

eta: like I thought, its not working. Sigh. I can't remember how I did it last time.

So no contrast settings for the fonts, then? I thought I saw a setting for it in the pics posted in the Russian forums.

Just the same bold setting as before. Font type, size and bold. Same thing.

If you scroll down a bit below the message box, there is a "Manage Attachments" button. Click that and you can upload an image directly to mobileread. A thumbnail will show inside the post, and clicking it will show the full size image.

I tried that and only got error message on a blank page. That is what I was trying to do so it would make the pic small you had to click on. Then I tried to host it on a site and make it smaller with the code thingy and that didn't work either.

Thanks for the pics. So is that book pretty good? I have considered it several times. Last one of his I read was Inferno.

I had 11 eligible Kindles hooked up all weekend with occasional manual Syncs done and received no Aa updates. All units on charge while waiting. ! Oasis 10, 1 Oasis 9, 3 Voyages, 1 current PW, 2 older PW units, 3 Kindle basics. I saw too many pictures of the kid reading under the tree during Restarts.

I tried with my Voyage a couple of times, but didn't get the new menu. Seeing those pics, imho there's no point to update at all. So I won't update either of my Oases at this time.

Exactly. I already have the update on mine, but I wouldn't even consider it as an update to be honest. There's practically nothing new that has been added.

I'm still wondering til today... is it really that painful for Amazon to implement features like last-read book as screensaver?

It’s good escapism, plenty of puzzles to figure out, and an interesting tour of Washington. Better than Inferno.

Hoping amazon gives us the book covers to cheer us up during this crisis!
