Hmm, if you didn't create a class for blockquote it will be represented in Word based on its internal style for blockquote. Also, please remember that only HTML4 and CSS1 is supported. Everything else will be ignored. Especially for special selectors in CSS this can be annoying. However, there is a silver lining. As style names will be retained, you can attach the original stylesheet if you export back to ePUB (if that is the goal) and everything should be alright. You have to enable the option 'retain own stylenames' for the HTML export though.

Hmmm...what I mean is, if you have something that is a blockquote, in the Word file, BEFORE you process it out to ePUB, simply create a named style called "Blockquote." You can set the indents, etc., as you will--the naming is the important part. When you export the ePUB, using Tox's mighty ePUBTools, retain the named styles. When you have your ePUB, simply name your blockquote style the same as you have it named in the Word file, (or, for expediency, name the style that way in the Word file in the first place), or regex the Word file so that your blockquote style has the same name as your CSS file. I guess I should have started by asking: are you exporting your own named styles, from the Word file, with the ePUB, using ePT? Hitch |

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I installed your plugin and tried it on a file that I already had ready.
I have a few styles of my own labelled author textauthor epigraph sectionbreak artcentre For some reason "author" and "artcentre" did not show up even though I clicked them to be retained. Is there some naming convention that I must follow to enable them to show up? |

Word often makes "mixed" styles, that are both, paragraph and character styles. I think the tools only retain pure paragraph styles.

There is no real naming convention, although styles with spaces and strange characters can cause strange effects. Can you sent me a demo document so I can see why the names are not retained?

I've uploaded a test doc. This time "artcentre" worked (I don't know why it didn't before) but "author" didn't. I've had to save it as .doc because I can't upload docx.

I think I've found a bug.
The code for the cover reads: Code:
<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" height="100$" preserveAspectRatio="xMidYMid meet" version="1.1" viewBox="0 0 599 799" width="100%" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"><image height="799" width="599" xlink:href="../Images/cover.png" /></svg>
Code:
<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" height="100%" preserveAspectRatio="xMidYMid meet" version="1.1" viewBox="0 0 599 799" width="100%" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"><image height="799" width="599" xlink:href="../Images/cover.png" /></svg>
I'm making a book with one endnote which shows correctly in word i.e. CATS A[1] to reference Canadian Air Transport Security Authority. In the epub however, the end note shows as <a id="RETN1">CATSA</a><a href="#_EDN1" id="_EDNREF1" title="">[1]</a></span> which takes you to the top of the book and the endnote itself is changed to <p>To See the Face of God</p> Sorry to bother you. Thanks |

I just tested this myself, because it sounds weird that nobody (including myself) would have caught that. The code generated is as it should, with a percent sign, not a dollar sign. No idea where that might come from at all. Which version are you running and on what OS/Word version?
Also the note is very peculiar which does not make sense. The id name is not coming from the add-in. I would be interested in the Word document (or the relevant part) and your settings file (%appdata%\toxaris\epubtools.cfg) so I can try to reproduce and, if I can reproduce it, solve the error. It might be another strange thing in Word. |

I'm using Windows 7 64bit with epubtools version 1.10.0 and Word 2007.
I don't know whether it's relevant but when I go into the settings for epubtools it comes up with a new version popup for the same version 1.10.0 I've attached the files you wanted along with the cover. |
