Thanks I love the idea of a book look on a tablet. I love my paperbacks! That is one thing Mantano has going for it they have the little book pages on their interface. I just love that!

I like them, but probably not good enough for Blossom... because they imitate old paper, not a shiny new, pristine paperback.

By the way, here are my top 2 favourite fonts... I got to know them via the Marvin e-reader for iOS:

• Volkhov — my primary day-mode font in Moon+; very distinctive, as if half-bold in appearance
• Arvo — my primary night-mode font in Moon+: very distinctive and readable in "light on dark" themes (similar in appearance to Caecilia from Kindle)

The only disadvantage of these two free fonts: they do not support the full Unicode range, so they only work for Western-European languages like English, German, Spanish, or French.

However, the Sorts mill goudy font whose screenshot I posted earlier doesn't have this restriction; nor does Calluna.

I also like Vollkorn in Moon+, but again, this one only works in Western-European languages.

This is probably the closest I am going to get.
I am using the first texture from Moon+ and the font Amasis resized and weight added.

It's just too yellow. a Paperback has a more greyish tint it. If I could only edit it...

How does one go about adding background images to Moon+ Pro? Is it easy? Does it require a certain exact size?

It's easy, booklover6. No exact size needed. You put all the background pictures in a special folder, and then in Moon settings, navigate to that special folder and load the picture files. That's it -- all the background pictures become available for your Moon themes. On my Nexus 7, the folder is /sdcard/backgrounds.

Thank you. I just discovered where to change the background image in Moon, and the stock ones are fun to play with! I didn't even know those were there.

Like this? I desaturated it by -20 but it needs a little cleaning. It looks like a paperback that has water damage. It get that exact look to it when it dries out. You can play with it yourself just open the apk file with winrar and it's in there.


Mantano adds a book edge to their reading background so it looks like a book page you are reading from. I tried to screenshot it but my Nexus cuts off most of that part. I think moon does in landscape too but Mantano does in Portrait.
