My Bliss is currently 10x population just from buying assets for the projects. Possibly it's because I'm pure centrist/pragmatist and it's harder for people who are more freemarket-aligned to get enough or whatever.

I just sent you some of the more easily findable surplus Military I had (sometimes when I click the Private Military gifts, they turn out to be Food).

you need bliss for playing @ the margins: like continous or temporary small energy and food shortages which will come when you start baby booming (and you 'll need baby-booms later on to make more bucks per cycle: levelup to 14 costs 9,3 million)

drake drop food and people on me that saves me surges for energy

also be wise and use at least the small food/population boosts: a small energy shortage is fast repaired, the money per cycle bonus from people remains

Turns out I only had 1 Population gift left, so I sent you that and a few 100 All.

I think I'm going to start sending out some Bliss to people under level 9 who aren't centrist/government-aligned, on the assumption that they've probably worked themselves into an Energy deficit and are getting less, if anything, in the way of income because their Population is insufficiently Blissful.

Well seeing as you've seem to be getting short of Military, I luckly had 2 1500 Military gifts lying around, they should now be with you.

Well, I'm not burning up the board, but I'm making steady progress. Just reached my third freebie by making another alliance. Energy is my only nagging problem, but I've got a few Thorium reactors now, so that should get me some relief. Whacks seem to cost a lot more at this level (9), but I have plenty of military, so far! (Knock on wood!)

No - I've been running an energy deficit since about level 3, trying to burn it all off.

The worst whack I've had? wanted 132,000+ military to pay it off (it was a percentage of bucks and I was nearly high enough to go up to level 12 or 13).

All bliss does, that I can tell, is cost military when you get whacked.

Hmmmm.. yeah, but it's bliss!

I have run out of military a time or two, but if I get a whack, I hit my hoard and get enough to pay it off.

Anyone know if running at zero means more whacks?

read the bliss description - if you burn up too much your productivity goes down
apart from the all - idea you do it right - it is a buffer ressource

eg food sinks below need - bliss goes down but people dont die immediatly
same with power

when you burn up all bliss people get pissed and stop making money for you

My military got a heavy whack, and now food's getting short also (as befits the wartime)
