Tumi bag that holds my IPad, utility knife, keys, torch, wallet, pen and other random crap. My wife has been threatening for years to slip some tampons into it to complete the picture as it were.

People sometimes say "Ooh a man bag". My response is its a handbag, get over it, I have.

I think it goes well with my Toyota Landcruiser but not everyone seems to see it my way. I lie awake at night worrying about it.

I use two Timbuk2 messengers. One is big enough to carry my laptop, Nook, cords, thumb drive, external drive, etc., when I'm flying.

The other is small, and only carries my Nook and a couple other things. I admit it; it's a man purse.

When I need to carry my laptop, I use my Tom Bihn Ristretto. Love it!

Oh! And here I am working. Good thing the moderator was able to handle it without our help.

Which is why I don't group Apple users together - only Apple fanatics. There is a HUGE difference between the general population of users and fans. (and, yes, you can be a user of their products, even like them enough that the brand alone can drive your buying decisions, and still not be a "fan")

I would argue that Windows, Mac, and Linux (and even iOS and Android) have more in common with each other than things that make them different. They're mostly all Intel (or AMD)-based digital computers with graphical user interfaces that employ icon and window metaphors, and are produced by publicly-held multinational corporations whose primary responsibility is to produce a return on investment for their shareholders (except for Linux, which is open-source).

I have a hard time feeling religious fervor for any of them.

I agree the elitism of the non-apple haters has really taken form in this forum. People can't even correctly talk about a subject, especially since most don't even know what they are talking about. The sweeping generalizations and attacks on a group of people because they use a certain product or product line is disgusting & vile. I don't see anyone else doing this to a non-apple product or group of enthusiasts. Only apple & apples customers are attacked. No one goes into the android forums & posts the numerous amount of articles with problems attributed to android products. No one makes any comments about the users & attacks them for their choice of product. It is very sad & upsetting & that's why I will stand up for anyone regardless of platform if they get picked on for their choice. & I will continue to correct misconceptions & lies about a product because people come here to learn about them & if all they here is that such & such product doesn't do this, when in fact it does, then I will be right there to say they are wrong & spreading lies.

Yes the ristrettos are awesome. I could buy all of their products, but I'd go broke.

You have a very vivid imagination -- nobody "attacked" Apple or Apple customers. Some detail about missing features in an Apple product was being pointed out, a detail that apparently keeps quite a few non-Apple users from buying an iPhone or iPad (yes, we know you can buy a dongle and were aware of that even before you pointed it out). I think it is time to stop the rants and get over it.
