Hello Everyone,
My new prs-650 arrived earlier this week! ![]() I was hoping to buy a standard sony cover like I had for my prs-300 (which did not add much weight and kept reader "book-like"). Alas, it is not availabe so I've ordered a similar cover from Proporta.com. It has not arrived but I will update you once I inspect it. Proporta.com has sent me a 10% discount code to use at their website... "Simply enter the Promotion code PASSITON10 during the checkout to receive your discount". Maybe some of you would like to use the discount? In the meantime I am temporarily using a Case Logic case made for the older prs-600. The inside section is slightly large but still secure and allows me to turn reader on without removing it from the case. Quite the deal from Amazon at $4.95. I love this forum!. Each visit, I learn something new. Thank you! Last edited by readergirl218; 03-26-2011 at 08:23 PM. |

Tuff Luv Multi View Case for PRS 650
Hi, I purchased one of these for around $50, because I thought the stand would come in handy for me. Before I purchased it, I emailed the company about a concern that the buttons on the bottom face of the reader would be too close to the leather cover. They don't have pictures of the case on their website, only computer-generated images. Their response was that they hadn't had any complaints, and that I could return the case for a refund if I wasn't satisfied.
Well the case has arrived and there is indeed a problem with the case being too close to the buttons on the face of the reader. With the 650 fully inserted into the cover, the "HOME" button is actually partially covered. The "Home" button will be depressed accidentally with little effort in this configuration. The other buttons are less easy to use, since the leather is simply too close. I'm not forcing the reader down in there, this is how it naturally sits in the cover. It's clearly a design fault. I plan on modifying the case myself to correct this problem. Shipping it back and shopping for a new one is too much hassle for me. Otherwise I think the case is OK. Honestly for $50 I expected much better. I have a $15 case for my 350, which has plenty of room around the buttons. Buyer beware. |

Thanks for the information. I didn't buy the Tuff-Luv but a similar model from igadgitz that has a slight curve where the home button is. It fits fantastically and is available in strawberry pink and black. They also have a bookstyle cover in these colors and the same models for the 350.
