Waves back.

Fresh squeezed OJ is one of my daily pleasures. But I do it myself. I buy oranges by the case, and use a Waring Juicer I got for ~$100 at Amazon. I'm actually on my second Waring juicer -- the first one finally failed after 7 years of daily service, juicing 4-6 oranges, twice a day, every day.

But right now? Peet's Anniversary Breakfast Blend tea.

Have a good shoot Stitchawl.

Rioja in my glass in my hotel room after a day in Cardiff. A vibrant city, much to my surprise. Recession. What recession?

What type of flavor are we talking about? Sencha and Blanchard are not flavored but taste very different. I love genmaicha, Sencha with toasted rice.

ProfCrash - Isn't it amazing how much better you feel when you get a good few hours of sleep? I hope it continues.

orlok - are you having a great time? Were you able to find interesting things for the kids to do?

Stitchawl - I hope you get some great photos in Guam.

I needed a pick-me-up so I am having a *gasp* Mikey D sweet tea.

Good thanks. We did manage to have a look at Castell Coch, which is like a fairy-tale castle nestling half-way up a hillside half hidden by trees:

Apart from that it has been wine, women and song (substitute food for women), swimming (which is all the kids want to do), a drive up into the beautiful Welsh hills (DAD!!! Slow down on the hairpin bends!!!) and shopping in Cardiff, which is a great city, and has a real London vibe in microcosm. We will be holidaying in Wales again.

Next we move to a hotel in Derbyshire, a surprise for the kids who thought we were going home tomorrow. Our middle daughter (12) said as long as it has wi-fi and a swimming pool, she's happy...

Finished up today with a couple of glasses of a delightful Chardonnay from La Frenz Winery in the Naramata Bench here in BC. This is what a good Chardonnay should be. Nice acidity, lots of green apple in the nose and the front of the mouth, round and full in the middle, and a clean, crisp finish. Not a "big" Chard, but a good one. And a bargain at $20/bottle.

orlok - that is gorgeous. I could picture it as a desktop background. It sounds like everyone is having a great time. I know my son always considered it a great vacation if there was swimming involved, no matter how cold it was.

Indeed, I can easily see it as such.

I'm afraid so. For me, I've got a hard deadline of 3PM to get a proposed outline and structure back to the FTE I'm working with on this project. And I'm struggling a bit with it. So, best to start out as one plans to continue: Peet's Pride of the Port today, I think. This is a tea I can drink all day and not get bored with. It's not my favourite tea, but it's solid and has enough bite to be interesting and it doesn't wane or disappoint over time.

My son does not do things half way. At 8 weeks, he is 15 pounds 3 oz and 25 inches long. 99th percentile baby. I don't worry about hitting the weights for the arms.

If he can hold his head up well, he may like sitting and trying to move around in the walker. Have you tried one yet? I know my son was super happy to be in his and pushing it around. I don't remember when he started using it, but we moved to the new house before he was 3 months old and he was already using it before we moved.

Finishing my morning coffee and thinking (just thinking ) about what needs to be done today.
