Yeah, Martha!! Good morning, everyone! Happy Humpday! East India Company's "Royal Breakfast" tea today. And with it, beans, sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, hash browns and toast. A full English fry-up breakie! Everything fried in genuine lard! So much for staying healthy...

We bought two twin size mats so they cover almost the entire surface of our bed. This seems to be a good idea as after a couple of hours the area in contact with you warms to body temps. Seems to be... As I said, we bought two of the Twin size, and the price was about the same. This says it stays cool for about an hour, and I find that mine keeps cool for almost two, but that's just me. Maybe I'm not so hot?
But as I said, just moving over a few inches puts me back in contact with a cool area, while the spot that was warm has a chance to cool off again.
I originally bought a small one for Felicity, but she doesn't seem to care one way or the other. I guess dogs like it better. So I took her pad and put in on my chair. That was enough to convince me to get them for the bed. Three nights now, and I'm sold.

EDIT: I just looked at the Amazon ad again. This is NOT what I bought. Mine is much longer. This one measures as a square. Mine is a long rectangle that covers the bed from head to toe, and half the width of a Queen size mattress. However, the idea is the same.

First week home alone with Lucas. Today is better than yesterday. Adjusting to shorter naps and solo feelings but it is getting easier. And my MIL is coming into town on Monday.

Water right now. Holding Lucas as he sleeps. Hoping to put him down for a few minutes so i can make a smoothie to drink while feeding him in about 15 minutes.

It's off to Osaka today, to the electronics neighborhood, to find an external CD drive for my new netbook!

Sounds like a perfect breakfast.

Unfortunately, I'm out of smoked salmon by now, and waiting for the new run of local Sockeye to become available. That will get smoked, for sure.

Meanwhile, headed out of the hotel to get some dinner, probably pizza. But first, finishing off this mug of Phoenix Mountain Oolong.
