37C here (vydor, you would not like it). Cava WAS in my cup, then a marques de rescal. Now, I guess I am in my cup.
Remind me tomorrow, after I recover, that heat enhances alcohol, like way too much....

Hot town, summer in the cityBack of my neck getting dirty and gritty Been down, isn't it a pity Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city All around, people looking half dead Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head But at night it's a different world Go out and find a girl Come-on come-on and dance all night Despite the heat it'll be alright And babe, don't you know it's a pity That the days can't be like the nights In the summer, in the city In the summer, in the city ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1_8909dNJ0 ) Good morning, everyone! 35degrees and it's just 9am... Hot days! I'm having ice tea for breakfast today just to fit the weather. Actually, I'm feeling preeeety cool. We bought some of those 'gel cool sheets' for the bed and they are actually COLD! So Ice tea, babbaganoush, hummus, Kalamata olives, and pita bread to start the day! Sounds like a Pat Boone song! ![]() Wasn't it worth the wait? Now you can eat and drink almost anything again, and even more when Lucas weans himself. Your sacrifice for the sake of the baby's good health was worth it, and now you can indulge yourself again! My hat's off to ya! Stitchawl |

Hot lemon honey and ginger as my cold has morphed into a massive sinus infection. Am off to the doc today to get antibiotics if I can. Life's too short to be ill especially at my age.

The beer is great. I just need to drink it right after I feed him so the alcohol is not in the milk when he feeds again. Beer is still a luxury but well worth the wait.
Coke with dinner tonight. My parents watched the little guy when we went out to eat. It was nice being out the two of us. Waiting on Lucas to wake up so I can feed him and go to bed. |

OJ in my cup, with a hangover. It is cooler today, and there might be a bit of rain, which would be good since there has not been any rain for 3 months, or any substantial one for 6, so it is needed here. But although there are clouds, I think the sun is still going to win.
I wish the nights were cooler, but it is still at least 27° during the night, so yes, thank God for the AC. The problem is the tropical weather we get in the summer. It is dry and hot (between 30° and 40°) from April to July, and tropical from August to October (still very warm, over 30°, with a high humidity in the air). It is dry and warm (20°s) after that up till Xmas. And NORMALLY it rains between Xmas and Easter, and the temps can drop to 10° but we've had none of that this year. But... I still think we live in Paradise

I'm telling you, guys... Get yourselves one of the gel cooling sheets for your bed and you'll sleep cool and comfortable all night long! It was sooo cool my wife had to add a cotton sheet on top of the gel pad. She was too cold! It was just right for me.
Speaking of just right... it's time for a glass of tequila! Stitchawl |

Hi, all! I'm OK up to 30 degrees without AC, but not much more than that. And that only because we don't really have much humidity in the summer. But I'm down in the Seattle area for a week of work, and it's looking like today will be over 30, and humid. But I'll be in AC pretty much all day, so not going to worry about it.
I brought my tea mug and my gold filter, along with two teas -- Phoenix Mountain Oolong, and Pride of the Port. I need to run by the local Peet's and pick up another 1/4 Lb of the Anniversary Breakfast Blend since I've been enjoying it a lot. The key is to carry with me teas that I can enjoy every day, since I don't have my usual selection to help offset "tea ennui". Starting out with Pride of the Port. Not really a pure breakfast tea, but it will do. |
