By the way, if you DO split them, please be aware that they are no longer fattening, as all the calories fall out.

I don't scrape out the cream, so does that mean Oreos are no longer health food

Oreos are ALWAYS health food.
Especially if you make IceBox Cake with them.
One pkg Oreos,
One container of non-dairy whipped cream (the kind made from all sorts of nasty chemicals)
One old style icecube tray (the sort that has the removable middle part)

Slather an Oreo with whipped cream and stand upright in the icecube tray. Slather another cookie and place it against the first. Continue until you have used up all the cookies and they are now in stacks (but laying down) just as they were in the package except that there is a layer of whipped cream separating each cookie, and covering the top and bottom of the tray. Place in the Freezer overnight so the cookies soften and the whipped cream hardens.

Eat. Smile. Send for EMT. You can make this with real whipped cream, but you'll get too healthy.

I can't work out if this is a real recipe or just the workings of a fevered imagination? I'm not even going to go there, or the stone (14lbs) I have lost in the last month will be back on overnight... Does sound strangely wonderful, though.

Back to my pine nut and pasta lunch, supported by a glass of filtered water.

It's real, all right! My mother used to make this for us 2-3 times a year. There are hundreds of Oreo cookie cake recipies here but this one is the quickest to make and easiest.

You've talked me into it. I'm doing my single parent bit this weekend while wifey works, so I'll make it with my two youngest daughters, which they'll love. A nice way to start the school holidays

I don't have an old fashioned ice tray, but I'm sure I can come up with an alternative.

I am thrilled to be within 6 pounds of my prepregnancy weight. It does help that baby boy was 1/3 of that weight. Ideally I would get down to 165 but this is not the time to diet. Hopefully eating healthy while breast feeding willl get me close to that mark. I cannot wait until I get The go ahead to exercise again. I wanna take tennis lessons and go to the gym again.

Surely lifting & carrying Lucas qualifies as weight lifting?

My mother used "CoolWhip" brand, which probably had the instructions for making it on the container (my mother was NOT an inventive cook...) I just did a Google Image search of 'cool whip oreo dessert' and found dozens of ideas along the same lines. A large package of Oreos just fit perfectly into a standard ice cube tray, so I guess that's why she used it. But it would be just as easy to make a 'lasagna' type of dish in a square pan, alternating layers of whip cream, cookies, whip cream cookies, etc. It's important to let it sit in the freezer overnight so that the cookies all get soft. By the way, you can make this with ice cream if you'd prefer... Probably healthier.

Here is something to consider... if you pick up your son everyday of his life, you will still be able to pick him up... when he is full grown. My son, at 8 years old, almost equals my wife in size, and she still picks him up.

Well done. It's not easy to get back afterwards. And consider that at least some of that extra weight is extra fluid because of lactation.

Lifting Lucas is a good work out. I laughed when they told me not to lift anything more than ten pounds. That was quickly amended to allow me to pick up Lucas.

Breast feeding is great for weight loss. I am trying to do my best to stick to a healthy diet and use this time to be healthy for Lucas and myself. And if that means that I lose wight, I am not going to complain.

That said, I had a chocolate milkshake for lunch. It was yummy.
