Now that you are up to Hogfather, I recommend seeing the movie. I thought they did Death quite well.

I'm currently about 42% through Jane Lindskold's The Buried Pyramid. I got it from a Tor promotion months ago but never made it through the prologue until yesterday. It's pretty good! Plus she's a local author, which is really nifty.

I like em. Nice quick reads. But some of them are certainly better than other. I had read some later ones and am now filling in some earliers that I missed and I must say, I remember some of the later stories being alot better.

Once I finish these up I am going to move on to fill in missing New Frontier series.

Argh! So I started reading "When Dashing Met Danger" by Shana Galen. Some parts sounded kind of familiar. Then on page 200 (1/3 through), the book mentions a special pocket in a waiscoat. YUP I READ IT ALREADY!

Grr.. but I have forgotten what happens so I'll finish it now. I don't like to reread, there's waaaay too many books on my TBR pile for that.

I'm currently reading The Alfar's Gift by Diane Wright and Drinkwater by Otto Scamford. Drinkwater is especially hard to put down.

I am reading my Sony Card statement which shows that my PRS-505 has not been charged, meaning it has not yet been shipped.

Just finished 'The Accidental Time Machine' by Joe Haldeman and it was a delightful read. Uncharacteristically for me, I had the forethought to read (or actually reread) 'A Briefer History of Time' by Steven Hawking just before starting 'The Accidental Time Machine' and that added to the enjoyment.

Next up, 'Knife Music' by David Carnoy

Ned,

Drinkwater's quite real. And it's actually quite good too. Here's the amazon link:

Just finished reading an impulse buy at Amazon: Mr. Penumbra's Twenty-Four-Hour Book Store - a short story by Robin Sloan.

I was caught by the title - and the story is a stunner! It's rare to find something quirky & intelligent & enteraining - I finished it in one sitting.

Don't know anything about the author, but I'm now interested in finding anything else in print/ebook form.

I continue to make my way slowly through the Collected Works of Mahatma Gandhi which is 98 volumes (all in PDF format on my Sony) of all his known writings - about 50,000 pages in all. For months, I've read little else. As I go, I've been trying to note the most interesting portions which I hope to compile into a stand-alone ebook. http://www.gandhiserve.org/cwmg/cwmg.html
