Stairs are still problematic so I have not been able to post pics. I have been posting from my iPad.

Lucas is eating right now. I finished a strawberry and banana smoothie. Life is good.

dreams, I am longing for a coffee too after reading your post.. it is late, but I think I'll indulge nevertheless...

Prof, how is he sleeping ? and you ?

OK, off to make myself a café liegeois (those calories are all your fault, dreams :-) ) and watch Franklin and Bash, just starting the season 2 episodes.

Café liégeois - I had to look that up. Yum, that is a bit more in a cup than my plain little coffee. Now you have me craving a Café Mocha, especially since I have just finished making my frozen chocolate covered bananas. I just cover them in chocolate and don't add embellishments.

ProfCrash - I found stairs were easier to climb after my C-section, if I bent over when climbing, so I didn't have to stretch too much.

I'm looking forward to seeing photos of little Lucas.

He is sleeping well. Very alert during the day with at least two sessions where he is up for two hours after eating. Night time he is getting up very three hours to feed. My parents have been great. I have only had to worry about Lucas. My mom sends me to my room for regular naps. So far so good.

The hubby is enjoying the bottle feeding and handles the night time, and a good amount of daytime, diaper duty.

Come over to the window, my little darling,
I'd like to try to read your palm.
I used to think I was some kind of Gypsy boy
before I let you take me home.
Now so long, Marianne, it's time that we began
to laugh and cry and cry and laugh about it all again.

Well you know that I love to live with you,
but you make me forget so very much.
I forget to pray for the angels
and then the angels forget to pray for us.

Now so long, Marianne, it's time that we began
to laugh and cry and cry and laugh about it all again.

Marrianne was a Norwegian woman that Cohen knew in Spain (I think...) I don't think I ever knew any Norwegian women... Too bad...

Good morning, everyone. Another Sunday to devote to devotion, be it spiritual or hedonistic. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. So breakfast today begins with a mug of East India Company's 'Royal Breakfast' tea, and home made croissants slathered with raspberry jam. Now THAT is pure hedonism (at my age, anyway.)

Today seems to be a good day to some computer housekeeping. I have several external drives, and just added a 3T drive to the chain. It runs the new USB3 but my computer is too old to make use of it. I did buy a USB3 card, but when I installed it, my computer just kept locking up. I'm going to use the 3T drive as a secondary back up for two 1.5T drives, and will do the copying today while I read. Raining outside, so no long rides today. May as well get some work done to protect my files. I like to have back-ups of my back-ups. Having once had a hard drive fail and losing important stuff was enough to make me see the light.

OK... back to tea and tasties....

The little guy sure is good at fighting sleep. He is on hour five and no sleep he is not cranky but his eyes keep closing then he forces them open. Better now then at two am.

These days I really regret all those naps I didn't take as a child...

We used to play with my son as much as he'd let us, keeping him awake longer during the day so he'd sleep longer at night. It seemed to have worked with no ill effects.

But now... I think I'll take a nap.

Be happy that he does that in the day. More chance of a peaceful night .

Rooibos in cup, then cherry juice and some croissants with jam.

Yep, what they all said. You seem to be doing great Prof !

Stitch : I used to build my PC on my own too (I was the only girl doing so in my group of friends), according to my gusto. But life happened, and I moved to netbooks a while ago, compromising on portability against flexibility. I sure would like both, but portability still wins. Not that I don't miss being able to change my harddrive, or installing more RAM, but on the latest models you can't. That sucks big time.

According to the box, all I 'should' have needed was to plug in a USB cable. But all's well that ends well, and I got the sucker working and now is in process of being filled. I have a little bitty laptop that I take with me when I travel, but there is no way it could hold all my images. I have close to 200,000 pictures stored as .tif, .jpg. and raw, and that takes up a LOT of storage room! I can carry the .jpg in the laptop to show clients, but keep the tifs and raw files at home, backed up twice.

Heck I used to get paid to do that... till the bottom of the hardware market fell off and people could by desktop systems for the price of a cup of Starbucks! But now a days, I am more like you, I buy laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Upgradeablity sacrificed for portability. I guess it just matters what characteristics you place highest.
