Good morning, everyone. A pleasant Sunday to you all. Sunny skies here so we're off for a ride in the mountains. What better way to pray? First, a big cup of "Yorkshire" tea from our friends at Taylors of Harrogate. Bracing! That's the word for it. A good 'wake up' tea!

My wife's grandfather's funeral was a nice Quaker service. A little different then what I have attended in the past as there is no pastor, priest, or any other "leadership" type position in the Quaker Church. It was very evident how many people he touched in his 93 years of life as the funeral home was just about filled to capacity with those that attend, and at least 3/4ths of them were not family. He was a WWII vet so the Navy sent some men to play taps and present the flag to his eldest child. Very nice over all.

Now to unpack and try to shift gears to return to work tomorrow....

Car failed inspection. Apparently the state cares that the air bag light is on. Go figure. I made an appointment to get it fixed tomorrow morning. It is amazing how the words "I am giving birth on Wednesday" get you good appointment times.

Sitting on my deck watching the dogs play. I have a pot of Sencha and Rooibos jungle fire going. I have a few small things to do, like address thank you cards, but other than that, I have a few days to do little to nothing and prepare for chaos.

So what day are you being induced (if you don't go before then, of course)? Next Wednesday, or this Wednesday?

This Wednesday. His original due date was 2 July. So he will be about five days early.

I just made zucchini bread with a zucchini from our garden. It was about a foot long and made three cups of grated zucchini. We have four more that size growing and one in the fridge.
