I LOVE the way Rex's fur feels. It feels like running my hands through flour. I never thought about tabby being a pattern but that makes sense. My cat has a combo tabby, Siamese points and hmmmm.... maybe Abyssinian? The base is pale gray and the tips are dark. Her color is called black smoke. I don't know if it would be called black smoke Siamese tabby?? LOL... I have pics of her in my profile.

Nope.

Isn't she a stunner? Can you believe she was a stray living behind a coffee shop for the first 8 mos. of her life? She probably needed grooming when Adopt-A-Stray got their hands on her, but the only grooming I do is trimming her claws. She's probably a Turkish Angora and although their hair is long, there is no undercoat, so there's no matting. She gets ornery when I try to brush her, so I do it when I'm in the mood, which is twice a year at most, just like I did w/ my short hairs.
