If you don't own a Kindle, um no. But, many times that same books that are free for the Kindle are also free at fictionwise or booksonboard. But, not all of them.

It sounds like he means he has a Kindle in Europe, but it's not registered. All you have to do is register it on the Amazon website from the Manage My Kindle page, and you'll be able to buy these books, download to your PC, and then transfer to Kindle via USB.

Not any more! I just noticed yesterday that it now has a $9.99 price tag. Glad I got it while it was free.
