I tried to connect a monitor, with a USB-C to USB-C as well as via USB-C to HDMI dongle, with my device, and there is no output.

Hi Renate,

I was using your UsbMode.apk to see the charging current and it shows 0 mA. Is there a way to fix this? Should I provide you with the links for the current/voltage files on my device?
Ampere can see this current, so the system reports it well. I just don’t really like the idea of having yet another apk installed just to see charging current.

Battery health is reported by your apk very well, thanks! Is there a way to see the actual max capacity in mAh?

I need you magician help
I use KOReader with GoldenDict to look up words. So when GoldenDict window appears, it at first weirdly stretches current screen with book page, then renders GoldenDict window. The end results is that the stretched book page is showed as a “ghosting” artifact in GoldenDict Window.

Do you know where should I look for this animation? KOReader, GoldenDict, Onyx framework?

I looked through Golden Dictionary and it looks like there is no animations in there.
In fact, it explicitly turns off enter/exit animations.

I see a lot of animation stuff in kreader. I don't know why.

It did get me off on a tangent though.
There is no Android intent explicitly for dictionary lookup.
There are various searches or android.intent.action.PROCESS_TEXT

I had previously used android.intent.action.VIEW with a custom schema of "dictionary" in my own Lookup app.
That is "dictionary://trouble" looks for trouble.

Try this command in adb shell:

$ am start -a android.intent.action.PROCESS_TEXT -e android.intent.extra.PROCESS_TEXT hello -t text/plain

Mine shows up without animations (and asks me to download a dictionary).

This command launches GoldenDict that shows the definition of the word (hello).
It is the same window as if I called it from KOReader.

The artifacts are still here, but sometimes the don't show up:

You can mostly see them on the dark bar around the dictionary type.

There is an option to change all background and text colors via CSS. I am trying to make it work
I'll make all background white, and all text black, and see if it helps.

Looks like the artifacts show up when old text renders over an expanding colorful heading.

After I removed this non-white background, this stretching artifact is gone! I am so happy

I asked the folks on 4PDA Golden Dict page whether I can also have menu and top search bar black-on-white as well.

I was also having trouble finding a light theme for Audible app. Do you know whether there is an option to activate forced "inverted" color scheme per app?
