That is correct. When it changes force it back to what you like it will learn to keep it there over time.

That's correct. If the automatic light level is too dim, manually increase it to your preferred level (or vice versa, of course) and it'll learn your preferences.

Hi, I've bought a Voyage during the Prime Day. Yesterday the Kindle arrived but I couldn't help to notice that the upper part of the screen has a yellow tint while the bottom one has a blue tint. Surfing the web I discovered that there are a lot of people who complain about the uneven brightness of the display. I want to send back mine and get a replacement; before doing that, I want to understand if that is an isolated problem or instead a "feature" of the Voyage. Because if it is so I don't want to begin a long series of worthless replacement, I'd directly buy a PW3 (which I hope doesn't present the problem). I found ridicolous that a premium product like the Voyage has this flaw..
Do you have this problem?

i've that problem, after a couple of weeks the screen became evenly white.
You have a mounth for replace, i suggest to wait 2 or 3 weeks.

Thanks for the answer. Did you do something of particular? Mine other than that has an "invisible" white pixel on the far bottom of the screen, so I'll have to replace it anyway. Do you think that leaving the Voyage turned on will accelerate this process?

I just got the Voyage yesterday as well, and you know it did look darker at first, then I went to auto light setting in the settings . Mine was pre checked or turned on already. Perhaps that's how they are shipped. So it might be a good idea to check if it's on and un check the box, my screen looked much whiter with it off. I'm still getting used to the auto light feature . I'll keep trying it as suggested here in above posts.

I still love my Voyage, which I bought when it was released. Despite my gadget addiction the Oasis didn't appeal (fortunately for my wallet!).

While waiting for the Voyage to arrive, I was concerned about possible screen tint. When I first turned it on I could see that the top half was slightly different to the bottom half, but that was only because I was looking for it.

After reading a few pages it became unnoticeable to me and I have never looked back. Still the best ereader I have ever owned and thus it stays at home. I use a Paperwhite out and about.

So, today has arrived the second voyage. It presents a dead pixel and the display is even worse, splotchy and much more yellow compared to the other one. Tomorrow will arrive the third (and in case) last kindle voyage, if it will good I'll keep it, otherwise I'll call Amazon for a refund and I'll get the Tolino Vision Hd 3.
I'm really disappointed with amazon, they advertise the voyage like a premium product but for it is everything but that...

The third Kindle has arrived and it has the best display by far. The issue still persist but it's less noticeable, it doesn't distract me during my readings. I really hope that in a couple of weeks will disappear or, at least, diminsh, like Gabriele.Voyager was saying in a previous post. I'll attach an image so you can see for yourself.

I've read that is a problem of glue, my voyage was like your the first day, after a couple of weeks with the device always on (standby, never powered off) my voyage became evenly white.
Now is a pure joy reading on it
