There are folks on here who know a lot more about this that I do, so I feel sort of silly answering, but here goes...

I do my own URL, based on someone's help here in MR, so long ago that I can't remember whose post it was. I have a "model" URL (http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/?sea...rd&price=0-200) that then I modify and copy into the URL field. I don't use the advanced search hardly at all, I just do it directly.

If you just want to modify for price you add "&price=400-500" without the quotes to most search URLs and it should give you only titles between $4 and $5, and so on - you can change the price as you wish, e.g. "price=100-300" would be between $1 and $3.

I'm sure someone else can answer a lot better than I can...

Today's Amazon UK Kindle Daily Deal includes 18 books in Michael Connelly's "Harry Bosch" series at £1.99 each.

Has anyone read this series? Any good?

I've read them all over the last 2 years and loved them. My favorite crime series followed closely by Virgil Flowers and Lucas Davenport (both John Sandford)

I'll second Melmac's recommendation - I have enjoyed all the "Harry Bosch" series.

It's been recommended to me many times by friends whose opinions I respect, but I haven't read it yet.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I'll buy a few of them and see how they go. It's a series that seems to go on sale fairly frequently at Amazon UK, although not all at once like this.

A couple of these have dropped further at Kindle US, to $3.82:
  • Death in the Stocks
  • A Blunt Instrument
Here is a link which now picks up all Heyer from $1 to $5, and also eliminates random versions of the public domain "Black Moth". There are still a couple of strays in there, but this will also pick up any additional Heyer price drops.

I'm not up for doing 12 blurbs, but here are the titles, followed by a link that will be good as long as they stay between $4 and $5:
  • Envious Casca
  • Death in the Stocks
  • Duplicate Death
  • Detection Unlimited
  • No Wind of Blame
  • A Blunt Instrument
  • Behold, Here's Poison
  • They Found Him Dead
  • Penhallow
  • Why Shoot a Butler?
  • Footsteps in the Dark
  • The Unfinished Clue

Died in the Wool is the first in Mary Kruger's knitting mystery series. (Also the title of one of Ngaio Marsh's Roderick Alleyn books, that one very definitely NOT on sale...) It has recently dropped to $1.99 at Kindle US.

link: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000FCKEJA

Spoiler:
Quote:
The first novel in Mary Kruger's "lively" (Publishers Weekly) knitting-themed mystery series set in coastal Massachusetts.

Ariadne Evans is the proud owner of her very own knitting shop. And she's just got herself in a stitch.

When Ariadne enters her knitting store one day to find longtime customer Edith Perry strangled to death with homespun yarn, she fears her life is about to come undone -- again, since she's still getting over a divorce. Her worries increase when she's questioned by detective Joshua Pierce, who may or may not have designs on her. While Josh pieces together the details of the crime, clues about Ariadne's ties to Miss Perry come to light...and a bizarre pattern unfolds. Now it's up to Ariadne to do some sleuthing of her own. Can she untangle the investigation without getting snarled up into too much trouble? That depends on whether the killer is as crafty as she is....
