I don't have a model "N467". I assume you mean N647 which is the Kobo WiFi. Can you check? As there is also the N647B version of the WiFi.

Also have a misbehaving Kobo
I also have a N647 Kobo that just yesterday decided that it was going to stop seeing books and everything else. I would love to get a copy of that firmware so I can get this thing back up and running again. Thanks. Appreciate it.

Hi,

Sorry I'm a newbie here. i bought a kobo wifi N647B from a charity that wan't working -I like trying to fix things. All you get is a Kobo read on screen and the loading blocks at the bottom right. It also won't turn off.

Had a look at some suggestions on the forum and took it to bits and removed the micro SD card. I checked it out and i think either the software or card are fried. I have a new sd card and believe I need a new image file, can anyone help please?

Hello, having just received my "new" Kobo WiFi N647B, I tried to reset it so that I could put my own name on it (it still was configured for the previous owner,with his eMail address and books. In the process of doing a factory reset, it went grumpy, and my efforts to fix it made it worse! I eventually opened it and had a look at the internal micro SD card, but my PC said it needed formatting, so I've done that and would like a nice new image.
Can someone send me a PM (whatever that stands for - i suppose it's the image file) please? I formatted it to FAT- is that OK?

Formatting the card was a BIG mistake. The cards in these devices are formatted in a way that Windows does not like. And it is Windows that is at fault.

To use the image, see Memory Upgrade Mod Guide. The instructions are for the Glo, but the basic steps and tools are the same.

Hi davidfor,

I just got a kobo N647 from a friend, unfortunately I cannot access the internet due to a "network error" and the kobo isn't detected by my PC. Do you think you can send me the image to possibly fix this issue? I think its because the instant I turned on the kobo it updated. Please let me know.
