If you let Windows format the visible partition, you should be able to do a factory reset. That should get it going again.

Thanks for the img, it worked great, but windows 10 still wanted to format the disk. I luckily have windows 7 dual booted and it works fine on that. No format needed. Weird.

In that case your Windows 10 installation has probably been updated with the "Anniversary Update". This has changed something in how FAT32 drives are seen and Kobo devices are no longer handled properly. There is a big long thread on it in the main part of the Kobo forum that includes some workarounds.
