I received mine on Monday and I like it. There is a learning curve with it though-it isn't like a Kindle which is fairly straightforward.

You can use "Full!screen" app on Google PlayStore

Touchscreen acuracy

For the people who own it, how is the input accuracy of their t68s? I received mine recently, then noticed that it was having the trouble reading touch inputs accurately. I went into the system settings, then to developer options and enabled "show touches". After that, I was able to observe that where it thought my finger was touching was somewhat erratic and inaccurate. While sometimes it was accurate, a lot of the time, the touches were registering as if they were well below where my finger was actually touching.

Yes, it's not highly accurate. But for me that's not much of a problem as it's an e-reader first, and android tablet second.

I am mostly asking to make know if I have a dud and need to return it to swap for another or if they are all like that.

It can be accurate enough most of the time for things like typing, but some of the touches can register almost an inch away.

An inch? That's a bit much.... Pretty much unusable, to be honest.

Completely unusable, I'd say. I certainly have no such issues with mine.

Maybe you meant "pinch"
I also feel that some areas are a little bit off (lower corners especially) but still it is usable.

How about requests? It would be great to be able to have a separate app or widget to control the front light. This way I could change the brightness from any other app without having to go to the homescreen. I am using the Swapps app to be able to switch quickly between apps and I can add specific apps or widgets to a favorites list.

As I've experimented more, the problem seems like it is software based. On some programs/screens, like my home screen launcher, it works fine, with the registered inputs being consistent with finger presses repeatedly to the same spot and not ever more than a quarter of an inch away from each other, while the larger discrepancies happen while in the browser. It is hard to troubleshoot it because even at its worst, the inaccurate presses only happen around 5% of the time.

When I was trying to measure how far apart some of the presses were with my metal tape measure, the metal would cause the device false detections, and after that for about 10 seconds my finger presses weren't registered at all, so maybe it's sensitivity is being constantly recalibrated?

What type of touchscreen sensing technology does it use?

Can someone please post instructions for rooting this device?

I've tried towelroot v1, Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v35, so far not rooted...

I rooted mine with towelroot. You have to tap in the middle of the screen I think. I tapped in a few places to be sure. There's another thread for the device - here's a link to my post for towelroot so you can make sure you have the right one. https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho....php?p=2863863
