Thanks Harry, I will think about my possible questions. Tab I saw here was 269 € (wifi only) Out of all other 7" tablets it had the best screen and looked the nicest.

Yes, but there are bigger dealbreakers: the fact that it uses the phone interface, rather than the tablet interface. (though it can be hacked)
I'm more interested in the Nexus 10.

The lack of content is the deal breaker for me. Living in the UK, the only tablet worth getting is the iPad.

The "device as storefront" mentality is exactly what a lot of us find objectionable.

And judging by sales and popularity, is what many more find very convenient and acceptable.

Still, I don't see why lack of that equals lack of content.
In the UK, can not any Android tablet play music and video from any available source (even if sideloaded), browse the web, and run a variety of Android apps including book readers from a variety of sources, just like it can anywhere else in the world?

Again, it depends what you want to use the device for.

My personal use for a tablet is to load my own content (books, video, etc) onto it. iOS and Android are equally good for that. However, if you wish to do things like rent TV programmes, films, etc, the iTunes store is much, much better for that (in the UK at least) than Android.

In the UK, Google Play has no Music, Magazines or TV shows, and Movies are for rental only. So that just leaves apps and books, I guess <shrug>

Surely there are other sources for digital music in the UK?
For my own collection, the vast majority of the music and video on my digital devices was ripped from my own CDs and DVDs.
And even if iTunes was the only source of music, you could still get mp3s in iTunes and load them on to the device of your choice, no?

I mean, they sell MP3 players and PMPs in the UK, right? Clearly people use them for something?

Yes, that's it exactly. Personally, it doesn't bother me, because I download content from BBC iPlayer, rip my own DVDs, etc, but there's no doubt that, if you do want easy access to TV programmes and films, the iPad is currently a much better choice in the UK.
