CoolReader new version

Well, zoom in/out should change font size but it rather inconvenient now when size step is small and coolreader reformats a book with every change it is indeed more simple to adjust font size in the settings menu.

I 've just started using CoolReader3 and it is a very nice peace of software. Thanks for all your efforts making it that way, pkbo!
In the meantime I 've read so much about CoolReader in different threads, that I can't remember what's written where anymore.
Therefore a few resuming questions. I am on a PB 903, FW version 2.1.0, CR3 0.0.5-5 and haven't (yet) installed the skin software.

- Does the stylus work with CR3? With the arrow-buttons I am able to select text, but that is about it. I can't seem to activate the little symbols at the bottom of the page when in Note mode.
- How can I change the Russian quick menu to the English one?
- How can I activate the English dictionary (it doesn't do anything now)?

I'd like to test some things like footnotes and other not so very usal stuff; which epub can you advise?

1. No, stylus doesn't work.
2. You may activate the little symbols at the bottom of the page using joystick left/right buttons.
3. You can place correct menu picture to the skin directory, please check this message.
4. Could you please elaborate on this? How do you open dictionary what are you doing what do you expect to get and what actually happens?
5. I guess that footnotes are displayed in .fb2 files only.

Here is some extra info on nr. 4:
When opened an epub-file, select a word, I call the quick menu, and choose for "dictionairy".
Then a part of the lower-half of the page opens as it usually does when opening a dictionary, but this part remains empty with the remark: "No dictionaries installed".

Does this mean that Coolreader3 expects dictionaries placed somewhere in /system/share/cr3 ?

Dictionaries should be placed in the 'dictionaries' folder inside the 'system' folder. It's the same directory used by FBReader.

Doing the same action with FReader, I do get a dictionary! Just not with CR3...
It looks like all the right stuff is in place at /system/dictionaries:

Could you please make dictionary view active (Press OK) and select empty space before leftmost icon (Select leftmost icon by pressing "left" and press "left" once again) and press OK, please let me know if dictionary list is opened or not and if it is empty or not. Select dictionary if it is not empty.

Great man, I never would have got the idea to use the blank space left of the exit symbol.

You are not the first one who was confused by how dictionary selection works. Actually there is some bug - there should be no blank space in your case but title of the first available dictionary. I hope to fix it soon. And I think I will introduce one more icon for dictionary selection.

even go on them can be
+ Added ability to select words when working with a dictionary in the second
column in the corresponding mode.
+ Added paging with a sensor (taken from Fbreader180)

EDIT: so far the page turning is working very smoothly with the PB903, while unfortunately I could not make it work with fbreader - pkbo, really I cannot thank you enough!

Thank you pkbo and sein. I have the PB902 so the paging sensor and change page moving the reader do not work, or I do not know how to configured.

Also, on some epubs, the images do not appear using CR3. If I use fbreader they show up. Just my feedback just in case you want to take a look.

change the menu-selection-icon and it goes!

Works perfect for me, although I still doubt whether I will ever use the wrist-page-turning. It works OK just like in FBreader, but finding the right settings with the right gestures and then skipping a page too much anyway doesn't give me any added value.
It is for (my simple) reading by far the best reader though!

hi Pini, this one should do - just copy it in the "skin" folder. Can't remember where I got it, I rememebr somebody uploading a menu image here, but perhaps it was for something else, so I might have got it from the Russian forum. Anyhow, it is attached.
