I'm just back from the hospital. Three days of IV antibiotics. Two different types on a 12 hour and a 6 hour schedule.

As I was eating some truly bad food (are we allowed to say the word poop here?) I was thinking about all the good food you guys were having.

I came to the conclusion that all you guys that enjoyed your food should GO TO HECK!

Oh I am so sorry and I can so relate! I wasn't allowed any food at all on ny first 2 days in the hospital last week, but on the 3rd morning they brought me scrambled eggs -- and they were STICKY! :shudder: what on earth can you do to scrambled eggs to make them sticky?

I hope you're feeling better now and can eat something good soon. I just had a gyro.

back in the bad ol' days I would say they were using powdered eggs. I don't think they do that in the States anymore though!

A blister on my foot. An infection went from one toe to half of my foot in three days. They were close to taking off a few toes, if not more.

The Dr says I'm not diabetic. That's two negative tests by different DR's in a year and a half.

But I'll still eat low glycemic foods. At first it was hard changing my diet, but it's getting a lot easier.

w0w! very scary! it put you in the hospital but they are saying it is not diabetes! then what is it?

It started as a simple blister on a toe, there was never any pus. It rapidly spread to the front quarter of the foot enveloping all of the toes.

The infection was in, and under, the skin so it was hard for oral antibiotics to reach it.

I checked the shoes that I wear, all of them are older than 6 months, but could find no cause for the blister.

It's possible that after working on my feet for more than 40 years, that they just ain't what they used to be.

The solidarity would have been better, though, if you guys had eaten the same food as I did.

I really did think of skipping a meal or two.
