Update:

Reformatted the sd card, reset the NC, and started from scratch using a pc this time. It worked! This device is amazing!

Now my question is... is it possible to troubleshoot the youtube app? It worked flawlessly for about a dozen videos, but now it wont open. Im afraid that the answer be to root it again,which just means i should have kept autonooter on the sd card...

People have been successful clearing the cache on the app using NOOKcolor Tools (Manage Applications), others have cleared the data using Titanium Backup (there's a free version).

Question: I just wrote the image on the SD card. I went to review what was on it, but when I clicked on the drive it says "This drive is not formatted . Would you like to format it now? " What do I do?

Nookgirl, when that happens to me it's usually because something's gotten corrupted with my SD card. You may need to reformat and try it over. Someone else might have a better answer, though.

If you did this on the PC, it is going to say that. Linux (including Android) uses EXT2 or possibly EXT3/4 file format (I think Android is EXT2). Windows uses FAT32 or NTFS. It doesn't understand EXT format natively. Windows isn't going to be able to read it.

Device: Kobo Aura and Kobo Mini, had a Nook, NOOKcolor, Nook STR.
This probably seems like a stupid question. I have set up my youtube account. It seems to work fine, but when I went to "choose" my gmail account, it asks me to add it. It sounds like it should be there for me to choose. Is it ok for me to add in my gmail account info just like I would when setting up a phone?

Try the Market first and see if that works. Your Google account info should be on the device. That was the purpose of doing the YouTube login thing.

Was Gmail asking you to add your account info, or was the app asking you to allow it to do stuff? You can add another gmail account, but your base account should be there already.

Yeah, I figured out what I did. I logged in using my username (cause that is what it asks for) not my email. I thought the email would be the next step, but when I didn't see it I knew something was up. So I went to log in with my pc to see if I could log in with my gmail and it worked.

It's done. Market is working, but I have no idea what apps to get. I will have to check out the apps thread.
