You say that you love me (say you love me)All of the time (all of the time) You say that you need me (say you need me) You'll always be mine (always be mine) I'm feelin' (glad all over) Yes, I'm-a (glad all over) Baby, I'm (glad all over) So glad you're mine ![]() ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yrrch43CweU ) Good morning, everyone! Another beautiful Spring day! I have some fresh East India Company's "Assam" tea to drink today. I stopped at the Import shop in Kyoto yesterday and restocked my tea shelf! At the same time, I took a load of new photos. Here's a lovely little Italian restaurant along a canal, completely covered by this year's Cherry Blossoms! ![]() It's certainly no chore to find suitable photo subjects this time of year in Japan! Maybe another mug of Assam tea will help! Stitchawl |

We are hoping that things respond to the allergy meds. I am breathing through my nose for the first time in ages. The nasal spray was insanely expensive but it is the only allergy one that is a Class B, meaning that it has not been shown to cause birth defects in animals but there has not been a full blown study done on pregnant women. The Class C one would have been $100 less then the Class B one.
Most drugs for pregnant women a class C, they cause birth defects in animals but there have been no studies in pregnant humans. So use sparingly. Class B's are use a bit more easily then Class C but still try everything before using. She said it will take a while to dry out my nasal passages and throat but I should start sleeping better. I am hoping to be off the nasal spray sooner rather then later and stick to the Claritin. Really I am hoping that this works and I can sleep through the night. |

Starting the sponge for a loaf of bread tonight. This is usually the DW's chore, but with her gone, and the current loaf barely enough for breakfast...
@Stitchawl: Lovely, simply lovely. @ProfCrash: Fingers crossed. But hopeful. And Claritin is a LOT cheaper than the steroidal nasal sprays. But reminds me of how far we've come on both types of products. Remember the horrible old nasal sprays that ate your mucus membranes, and the antihistamines that made you a basket case of drowsy and DRY? (I had Hay Fever every spring until I was in my mid-20's. ) Finishing up a glass of Talisker and off to bed. TTFN. Last edited by CRussel; 04-13-2012 at 01:57 PM. |

Stunning picture, once again, Stitchawl.
Nothing in my cup, as I'm up early to take my wife to work, and then drop her car in to the garage, as it keeps cutting out. I'll have about an hour to wait until they open, so I may have to stop off for a McDonald's breakfast ( ) with a decaff coffee.

I have never really needed more then Sudafed when I was a kid.
I cannot complain too much, the bad allergies is the worst side effect I have had with my pregnancy. I have had friends end up on bed rest for 6 months. I can say that I am feeling better right now but it is 4:15 AM and I am chilling on the computer while trying to let enough drain that I can go back to sleep without the cough. It will get better with the help of the meds is my new mantra |

I've got a kettle on the stove, ready for some Earl Gray tea. Back to reading then. I've got a friend coming over later with her son, I love having kids in the house. I'll have to get some cookies or muffins going.

Rooibos Apple Strudel with my Everything Bagel. The slightly sweet works well with the salty. It is a good combo.

Sponge and rest of dough combined, kneeded and in for first rise. (This is Cook's Illustrated's "Rustic Italian" bread, one of the best all purpose white bread recipes I've found, but shifted with 10% whole wheat in it. ) Two more rises, then shape it, let rise again, and bake.
Meanwhile, Peet's Major Dickason's in my cup. |

Bread is out of the oven, the sun is shining, the temperature is finally coming up a bit, and it's a _good_ afternoon. Time for my special Keemun Xian Zhan from Teaspring. This is the best Keemun I've ever had, and a wonderful tea for a good day.
