I have indeed used the last version on repository.

I have translated the installer file but as I have a 600 I can't test it and if I have tried to mess with autorun.xml to integrate it, I doubt I make it successfully.

FMI, how do you build the exe?

EDIT: OK I made an error with the stuff recently moved in firmware so I have added another patch. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I would also like to know if the .noscan feature is working, because in my case it doesn't and if the use of the cache.xml is still underway.

As I use a 2k+ library I am very interested in this feature but all the posts I have seen seems to not have a straight answer.

Many thanks for this firmware by the way, It was very useful for me.

I put this on my 950, thinking that the only thing I would appreciate is the ability to download e-book files from the browser over wifi. But, after using it a little while, I find that the key bindings and customization choices enhance my reading experience so much that I'm using the 950 more than my beloved 350.

I can hardly wait for fw 1.0.00.14080 to be supported, so my 350 can retake its place as my favorite reader.

.noscan works on drive level in 1.1.3.
In 2.x this feature is missing (yet). I plan to support it on folder level.
Disabling scan via settings should work, however.

Well that's my problem, adding .noscan doesn't seem to work which should be normal as I use the 2.x version. But disabling via settings doesn't and the reader hangs with my SDcard. Will give it another try.

Just to be clear:
-"dealing with this at a folder level": May I ask you the interest of this?
-so if understand correctly, still no use of cache.xml when disabled?

Finally, is this something I can mess up with or something in a compiled library?

On my 600... turn off scan in PRS+ settings and it doesn't scan... SD card has 10K plus books on it... works great with no problem... you may have something else causing your problem with not scanning but I have it working on every PRS reader I own, always turned off in settings...

Well in my case I have compiled the latest version in the 2.x serie and that's a bug I have observed.
I activate the setting and my 600 is stuck after rebooting the device with a rotating arrow (not rotating of course) while displaying Loading in progress... for more than 5min.
No problem if there is only the internal memory and the only think which is modified in this version is the French translation so I don't see where is the problem.
I will wait for another alpha and see if it is my setup for generating the installer which is causing the problem...

I'm interested in this new firmware for my 350, but need a version that supports the latest firmware. Should we expect the beta in days, weeks, or months?

It's a case of when Kartu gets it done... it isn't a job so it depends on his free time... it will come in due course but patience is always a virtue for third party firmware updates... the most recent version is an alpha anyway and came out just before Sony updated so I guess it'll be a little while, just check the thread occasionally...

For those who can't wait, there is always the way to "russify" with borodas/porkupans CFW 1.5k (here) and use the "manual installation" with *.zip files instead of the "all_in_one_Setup.exe"

I have the PRS-505 with PRS+ 2.0.10alpha installed.
